Mildly terrified of a MGS movie. Like, if you look at the plot of MGS in today’s atmosphere, it looks like a Q-Anon conspiracy. Meanwhile, we’re already living in a Metal Gear Rising hellscape where all the things MGS has warned about has come to fruition and we’ve gotten to the point where nobody would be surprised if Mitch McConnell pulled a Senator Armstrong and became a muscle behemoth, feasting on the sorrow of putting immigrant babies brains in jars.

I'll be honest. I would rather see a Big Boss movie. Operation Snake Eater is a much more compelling story with a much more compelling cast. And it would take a lot less massaging of the plot to make it work as a film since it's a period piece, versus trying to make MGS1's story not feel anachronistic in a modern setting.

I’ll be surprised if it follows the games at all. It will have Snake and a giant robot, and probably some characters with names from the games but tenuous resemblance to anything in the games.
I’ll be delighted if I’m wrong, though.

After his treatment in the Star Wars movies, I don’t think Boyega would be too pleased to play another bumbling sidekick.
Hopefully, this does Final Fantasy Spirits Within bad and bankrupts Konami so they have to sell all their IP’s to people that still make games. Or they let Kojima direct and we get something incredible to watch.
