The people who made AM2R will be releasing an original game! It’s called Bō: Path of the Teal Lotus, and it’s a 2D metroidvania that takes a lot of inspiration from Ōkami.

Ok, this looks fascinating. It could either be great or a train wreck, but a musical mashup of American Gods and The Wicked + The Divine certainly has my interest.

Wow, that is seriously cool. Also hell of a cast list, I loved Anthony Rapp in RENT and recognized a bunch of other names with musical theatre chops.

I wasn’t sure where else to put this and I didn’t want to start a thread until I’ve actually played the thing.


A F2P 3v3 soccer-ish game just launched from open beta on pretty much all platforms. From what I can tell, the development staff is a bunch of ex Riot folks which explains the kind of League of Legends looking controls. They’ve gone full in on the anime aesthetic with character designs and an opening animation by Studio Trigger. Be warned - the opening theme is an ear worm.

The cat game trend continues! IntiCreates’s next game is Umbraclaw, a side-scrolling platformer about an adorable li’l void slashing their way through the afterlife to find their back to their person. The art style is sort of “what if Okami but 2-D,” and the fact that our protagonist isn’t humanoid seems to be reining in Inti’s worst character design instincts. Trailer!

Anyway, Lazlo cameo aside, that game seems like an animated Monty Python sequence of sketches which could certainly be… a thing.
