This one has me vibrating in my seat. Hopefully we get it before too long...
And 2D, at that?
So who had Ninja Gaiden on their 'new games for old IPs' bingo card?
Oh neat, I thought Herstory and A Normal Lost Phone were interesting and this looks like another way of approaching that. Fun.
Yeah, I didn't pick up on that immediately, but after a rewatch... hell yeah!Half that video almost looks like a re-skin of Golden Axe, but that’s hardly a complaint. I’m not much a He-Man fan personally but it looks real nice.
Funny story: this game is directly inspired by kaizo Super Mario World tech, specifically shell jumps. One of the Rebounder devs (they're a small team, I believe three people?) hangs out in one of my favorite kaizo players' streams, and he said that the idea behind it was "what if shell jumps, but easy". Said streamer (GlitchCat7, also featured in the linked video) was playing a "shareware build" of Rebounder provided by the dev that featured the first 2-3 levels, and it looked super fun and very satisfying to execute. Certainly looked easier than some of the shell kaizo I've seen! Here’s a trailer that might interest fans of punishingly technical platformers (looking at you, @lincolnic):
That's the one I thought of; I have seen someone before say the phrase "obscure She-Ra spinoff He-Man" and I feel like in 2025 it's kind of true.I'm down for this.
Bring on She-Ra, too. It's even better made for something like this.
Ouch. That's the one I thought of; I have seen someone before say the phrase "obscure She-Ra spinoff He-Man" and I feel like in 2025 it's kind of true.
