Netflix: Flicks? On the Internet? That's just crazy talk!

Its been a while, but Disenchantment has had a pretty much constantly upward trajectory in terms of quality from episode to episode. It might not quite be up to Simpson or Futurama level, but its not far off at this point.

Also, a new season of Hilda is up on Netflix. The first season was relentlessly charming; I hope the second is the same.

Oh yeah, I'm a few episodes into the new season of Hilda and I'm happy to say it is just as charming as it is tonal whiplash-inducing.

Remember in the first season there was that episode where Hilda's mom and some others become dead-eyed drooling almost-zombies? Well episode 4 has a moment where one of the kids gets decapitated. (he gets better)

I am years behind everyone else, but I just watched Russian Doll and it was excellent! I'm glad they're making another season, but I would've been perfectly content if they left it at one.

Johnny Unusual

I have no idea what it will entail but I'm kind of hoping season two is something like subsequent seasons of Fargo and its a different kind of speculative fiction story.

Oh hey Parks and Rec is finally on Canadian Netflix. Maybe I'll finally see what this show's all about!

Sonic the Hedgehog is confirmed as getting a NETFLIX SERIES in 2022 called SONIC PRIME.

This is your annual reminder that the Micheal Bolton Big Sexy Valentine Special is the perfect thing to watch with your lover, your enemies, your enemies lovers and your lovers enemies.

Or sitting alone on a couch with a big bowl of buttered popcorn.

I don't want to watch it but I don't understand what's wrong with it.
The show is featuring "Dragon Knight" as its main character. And in DOTA2, he's very memorably/iconically voiced by Tony Todd. You might know better know him as Worf's brother:

And it's not like Tony Todd is above voice acting in faux-anime, but here they'll just lazily replace him with a generic sounding white guy because Netflix is a scourge.

There's been plenty of good shows produced/distributed by Netflix, but then there's Dragon's Dogma.

I don't want to judge a show just on the basis of "It's produced by Netflix," but this feels like another Dragon's Dogma.

I just finished watching B.N.A. (Brand New Animal), the furry Studio Trigger anime, on Netflix. It was a good time.

You already had a movie with Wednesday Addams, Tim.

You called it Beetlejuice, and everyone loved it 35 years ago.

Why do I feel like the lady who basically made this happen through her "Grown Up Wednesday" videos isn't going to get a damn penny?

I just realized how weird it is that Tim Burton hasn't actually don't anything official with the Addams Family before

On the one hand, this does kind of seem like it'd be a passion project for him, and it's been a *while* since I've seen a movie Tim seemed enthusiastic about.

On the other hand, this is a Tim Burton production, and I just thought about him casting Johnny Depp as Gomez and threw up in my mouth a little.
