Looks like it's not doing too badly right now! There are a few of those I wouldn't mind getting my hands on, but I'm too much of a cheapskate. This is the time to sell for sure, though. If I weren't such a hoarder collector/sentimental dude, I'd definitely look at cashing out now.

Seems like right now is the time to cash out any retro nerd stuff, the pandemic caused a huuuge spike in demand for pretty much everything. I’m crossing my fingers that it ends up being a bubble because I’ve really caught the Neo Geo Pocket bug and it’s the worst possible time to try and buy them.

It probably is a bubble, and you bet I'm capitalizing on it - I've also got a 32X and five games up for sale for $400 right now. The 32X! I paid $10 for it 12 years ago and didn't even get $10 of use out of it since then.

Dang, I have two 32X systems. Just need to pop the other one open - I suspect the issue with it is the same as it was with my other one. Those ribbon cables come loose. This one still sort of works, but the other one just flat-out didn't until I popped it open, and sure enough, that fixed the whole thing.

EDIT: Seriously, $60-100 just for a bare system with no hookups? Wow.

And yeah, I have to think it's a bubble. Part of is the pandemic, but I also have to think folks might be using their stimulus money on stuff like this, too.

Yeah, SNK's strategy here is a little fucked up, not gonna lie. I bought four of these individually! And yet the physical is something I would look into...I am so part of the problem lol

Glad I held off buying anymore of these after Gal Fighters, will definitely pick up once I get the funds. I'm assuming that the physical copy will be released by Limited Run Games so I'll be going the digital route here.

I’m really glad Dark Arms is on there. That game is weird. I don’t know if I’d recommend buying it on its own but it deserves to be played.

I’m also extremely chuffed for the 3D box models.

My guess is that they weren't selling as many in individual form, so decided they needed to provide a higher value proposition to get folks to bite.

Cool lineup, though! I'm not sure I need this collection (I have most of these carts), but if the price is right on the physical version, the temptation will be there.

Been holding off on these since I'm not too big on fighting games, but can't resist the whole package with Metal Slugs in it. I enjoy the presentation so far, very rudimentary re-winding though and no multiple save states (It just preserves where you last left off in the game)
