Music In a Landscape

There's a cool thing in Oregon called In a Landscape that I wanted to share, and am also curious if there are equivalent things like this elsewhere.

The short version is that this pianist takes his Steinway grand out to rural areas and plays for people, with the option to take wireless headphones and wander around the wilderness while he plays. There's a lot of community outreach to it too since a lot of these areas don't have any kind of concert hall. Tickets sell out damn fast so I still haven't been able to attend one but hopefully someday.

Here's a trailer from 2018:

His newest video is in the Alvord Desert in SE Oregon, which is just a surreal and beautiful place. Got my car to 110mph and ghostrode a truck there, but I am not nearly this impressive (definitely watch the last bit after the music):

I got tickets for one of the 2021 shows, super excited, especially since it sold out a few hours later. Not sure yet if we'll stay and hang out by the piano or take the opportunity to wander the State Park with the music. Maybe do both throughout the concert!

I've seen a lot of open-air concert and live music events pop up around here since indoor is still generally not okay. Anyone have any cool outdoor music events in their area?

Hahaha, that's awesome!

Aside from various sidewalk music events that nearby pubs have put on, the one cool outdoor concert I completely stumbled onto recently was a big outdoor stage at the US Whitewater Center near Charlotte, which is this cool and kinda surreal park/destination that was originally an Olympic training facility with a bunch of huge artificial rapids. Quite a backdrop.
