I think it's time for a general thread for these seeing as they are an ongoing concern. This year will see two Sega mini / micro consoles see release; the Game Gear Micro and the Astro City Mini, and one (effectively) mini console from Nintendo, the Game and Watch: Super Mario Bros.

I've got the Astro City Mini on order and am quite excited for it, there's a load of games on there that have never been re-released. The Game and Watch: Super Mario Bros is released this Friday and I'll be very interested to see it, and also to see if it's hackable. It potentially has a decent form factor for NES games at the very least.
 
The Game and Watch has arrived. It's a great size and feels really good to play. No idea if it's hackable and it's missing a select button, but I really like it.

Are the Game Gear Micros hackable? I've heard very little about them for some reason...
 
From the last I've seen, yes, they're working on it. They managed to replace games, and boot into different coloured Game Gear modes with a button command.

I'm waiting on Project Lunar 1.1 for the Genesis Mini. It looks excellent but it's taking forever...
