I'm surprised they didn't go with something new, relatable, and self contained like. Uh. Ahegao and Kase-san. No uh maybe a better choice is Bloop Into You, about a couple of girls trying to put on a chiptune show that may or may not be falling in love while trying to figure out what the music they perform says about themselves

Merry, do you mean all of the muppets? I mean some of the big ones can be kind of scary but still.

It seems a little lost in translation, but in England offering a kid (Hester is 14) a lemonade shandy is actually quite normal. Not out and about, but in the household it's seen as harmless. Liz here isn't being as irresponsible as it may appear; ymmv on that of course but when I wrote it I was coming from a place of "this is totally acceptable".

How scandalous! I'm sure no one on this forum ever had a drop of alcohol before they turned 21.

(Also Hester has always seemed a bit younger than 14 and I me.)

Younger than 14 would be pushing it to put behind the counter at a fast food restaurant, even for these folks.

I was expecting this heartfelt backstory moment to be taking place with a bathroom door between the two of ‘em.
