Football is called football because it's played on foot, as opposed to those sports that are played on horseback. Look, it was an important distinction once.

One of my favourite things in comedy is a series with a lot of characters when someone causally mentions another as if everyone knows them and other character has no idea who that is and is deeply confused.

How did Merry end up with darker skin than both her parents? Merry's mom isn't around to answer some questions that I think her dad ought to be asking.
Eh, skin color genetics aren't *that* simple, it ain't just a light/dark punnet square - entirely possible darker skin just came back out from somewhere on her mom's side.
(Of course, it's also possible she's adopted or something and we just haven't heard that story yet.)
