For our american pals who might be confused by today's strip: in Europe, "football" is what you guys call "soccer". The sport known in America is "football" is known here as "rugby with helmets" or "that thing that happens once a year at 3AM that no one watches but we're told it has cool ads".

I mean soccer was an english term until they needed something to be smug about americans over, though as PB suggests it's weird US football isn't called rugby due to the fairly obvious similarities
