As a person whose current friend group is composed largely of Church Nerds, I was so jazzed when the episode before last officially established that the canonical response to "may the Force be with you" is "and also with you."
Yeah, I've suspected that's the right answer for a long time.

That it's not "and with your spirit" is how you know this series really is set "long, long ago"

I didn't really care for The Child being used to create Snoke and/or Clone Palpatine. It makes sense that they want to tie this lore into the new trilogy somehow, but I kinda wish this would've just been its own thing. Episode 9 taints everything it touches, even if it's just a light reference.

I would definitely be annoyed at the idea that you can artificially induce force sensitivity if Rise hadn't already established it as true.

I feel like that's kind of a natural extension of what Phantom Menace established re: midichlorians. It only seems natural that the Empire would experiment with blood transfusions to induce force sensitivity. I mean that's totally a Nazi move, right?

The Empire trying to make Stormtroopers with an artificial Force sensitivity is literally the plot of one of the Dark Forces games, BTW. This is not a complaint from me, which may be a little hypocritical since one the things I hated most about the Sequel Trilogy was it trying to do old EU storyline.

I don’t have any children, but I feel that Trusting an infant to do spaceship repairs, scant days after failing to convince it not to eat a family’s entire genetic lineage is a real escalation in child rearing.

Mando is really trying to run before he can walk when it comes to being a single dad

Wait, was the guy in the tube supposed to be a proto-Snoke? I assumed it was a Dark Trooper, given the teaser at the end

That was the weakest of the series so far but it's still pretty good, and it's being used for Dark Troopers seeing as you could even see them at the end.

I also like that there's a growing list of characters drawn from everywhere *but* the films. This is a perfect opportunity to expand the scope and they seem to be going for it.
There may even be a though line about the significance of Mandalorian armour and artefacts - Mando was ready to execute Cobb Vance for wearing it as a non-Mandalorian, then by the end realised he was probably worthy of it. Then it's thrown in his face by Bo-Katan that it isn't mandatory for Mandalorians to always wear it. Then there's the macguffin at the end of last season - the darksaber - which is a significant Mandalorian artifact in the hands of somebody who is completely "unworthy" of it. Whether they go anywhere with this is interesting, but it's beginning to look at what being a Mandalorian means.

Bit late on this but I was thinking, one thing I loved in season one was the holistic approach Kuiil took to reprogramming IG-11.

Oh hi Michael Biehn!

Also when Thrawn was mentioned, that's when I realized I was a total Mark for this show.

Welp, this episode came swinging out the gate. I'm honestly impressed with how well Ahsoka looks. And that name drop at the end. Aaaaaaaa! Thrawn!

I'd be worried the show is delving a bit too much into fanservice, but I'm having too much fun with it.

Though, I'm less enthused with The Child's real name. I ain't callin him Grogu, I'll stick with Baby Yoda, thanks.

I don't think Ahsoka going after Thrawn is really within the scope of this series, but it would be cool to see that elsewhere.

So wait, Dark Troopers are canon now? Does this mean we'll get Kyle Katarn back in the general timeline?

And here I thought Ahsoka was going to be the only EU Star Wars name who I’d get excited about in this show.

Show made one huge mistake regarding canon though, his name is Baby Yoda, not Grogu
