I've been reading Lore Olympus since it started. I love it. It's a retelling of the Hades/Persephone story that posits the Greek Gods live in a modern world (like ours) while the actual world is still ancient world. The story does not shy away from the awfulness of the Greek deities, but it does manage to create pathos for most of them. The creator is also good about providing content and trigger warnings.

It's good and if you aren't reading it maybe give it a chance? Now is a perfect time to catch up as Season 1 just wrapped up and Season 2 is just starting. You can find it here.

Also, since I did forget about the new forums, here's my take on what Persie is doing : She's going to give coins to the dead so they can cross the Styx as a way to atone for her killing a bunch in her rage. Hades is not going to like this, nope not at all. Season 1 kept me wondering as to why she's so focused on getting money. Her mom is loaded, but this is something Persephone feels she has to do. Also, Zeus is going to do something stupid. Something very, very stupid.

So, I had to sort through my thoughts on this episode because it was a doozy. We're seeing some personal growth on the part of Hades, especially with him not being a demanding ass to get what he wants, but his realization that he really doesn't know Persephone as much as he should is a bit heartbreaking. Yes, it's partly because Perse hasn't been open with him, but he hasn't really opened up either or even tried to get her to open up. That last line though. Oof, that hurts.

Hecate continues to prove she might be one of the best characters. Just don't embarrass her. Finally, last week had Hades with puppy Cerbie. If there isn't a plush of him soon, I will...uh...not sure what I'll do, bitch and complain most likely.

OMG! Things are getting too real! Apollo being a shitheel, Hera's on the case, Artemis actually hunting Persephone down! Oh, and Echo has been introduced, poor Echo.

Hestia and Athena I think. Apparently TOGEM is OK with fraternization within the ranks.

And I love the costuming on the characters in this episode! Hades is being all official in his suit, but Persephone is looking regal as all get out in the clothes Hecate bought her. Which makes me suspect that Hecate is a Perse/Hades shipper.
