Because, as Demeter pointed out, she's a fertility goddess. Son of a god + fertility goddess = new pantheon with son at the top.

I don't think this is going to go as well as Leto imagines. The Underworld is Hades domain in addition to being Hecate's playground.

Yeah, I don't care about Minthe and every time we cut back to her I get annoyed with the story.

Trying to create pathos for Minthe at this point is too little, too late. If we had seen this backstory earlier, we might have pity for her. But as it is, fuck Minthe.

Exactly, also it really only seems to highlight her awfulness. Like she's unstoppable when she wants money? Okay. Am I supposed to like her now?
