What popularity contests would you like to see happen but maybe don't want to host. For me, I want top 50 Sports. I'm not a sports guy but I love sports manga/anime and that would make it easy for me to make a list.

A concept I had that needs some workshopping: Top 50 Advocates. It crossed my mind when thinking about how Carrie Fisher was an advocate for mental health, and I started thinking of advocates I respect. I'd be curious to see who other people look up to or are inspired by.
I see some issues though:
- Some people work for charities or organizations to do this full time, others use their fame/fortune as a platform for a message, and still others may only work on a small niche thing with limited time/funding and don't make headlines so it's hard to compare.
- There's a very high potential for people to get upset if one person's cause is divisive, if their methods were too extreme, if other aspects of their life are shady, etc.
- I also think it needs to be run by someone who is much more in tune with current events and awareness than I am.
I dunno, I like the concept but something isn't quite right with it. Maybe top 50 charities or something instead, but I really would like to focus more on individuals.

I saw this and thought you meant as in "lawyers" (and I definitely want a top 50 lawyers list).
I know some folks are tired of video game-related lists, but not me! Some options that I think would be somewhat fresh ground:
Pokemon (this feels like the next natural step after Mario and Zelda characters)
Levels (there's some gray area here, but what else is new with these lists? I actually would like to run this one).
Bringing up sports is interesting. I'd like to see a Top 50 Athletes list.

But don't have the spare time / energy.
Despite only playing tiny bits of the original games, after almost 6 years of GO I feel almost qualified to run that one - except that it’s *crying out* for original art and I don’t think I can afford to commission that many pieces.
Though I guess me doing amateur scribbles from memory could be morbidly amusing.
Many of these lists have me feeling underinformed relative to most of the people submitting lists, but that's one of the few that requires domain knowledge where I feel like I could actually contribute.
Which is a fancy way of saying I wouldn't mind running it at some point.

We had a Top 50 for sidekicks but that wasn't animal focused so very few animals placed on that list.

I had an idea for best dogs list but not sidekick specific. It could include dog breeds, dog characters and simply notable real dog individuals. (Not that I'm claiming this. I have no shortage of ideas and would be unoffended if any were "stolen").
At first I thought there might not really be enough "top" games for this to be interesting but there have been a lot of remakes, revivals and newcomers to the genre the last few years so maybe there are more than enough (depending on what is allowed in the Top 50).
Top 50 Weird Al Songs
I feel like the silly title for one of the threads for that 50 would have to include the phrase "what's all the hubbub".
A lurking Spikey mentioned "Late title cards" in another thread and it occurred to me that could be an interesting... well, maybe mini-list, since I imagine the pickings are slimmer than average. If it's not clear without context, that'd be the times when some media thing (this certainly can happen in game and movies, and maybe some other places as well) waits an unusually long time before dropping a big title or logo or sequence, as if to say, all that stuff you already saw was just prologue, now we're really getting started. Anyway I don't have time to run anything right now but it seemed like it had potential, maybe.
