Let's fuse some beads!

Thought we might have a thread for fuse beads, AKA Perler, Hama, etc. Have you made any cool pixel-y pictures out of plastic beads? Show them off here! I'll start with my creations:

My first video game sprite-based pearl picture was Kirby, made several years ago when visiting a young relative.

More recently, I made this Tron identity disc at a meeting of the local LGBTQ+ group.

And this is my most recent creation, also from a meeting of the LGBTQ+ group. It's the Nobel Gundam of Neo Sweden, in pearl form, which feels especially fitting, since the fuse beads were a Swedish invention! I had to take some liberties with the pattern I found online, since it uses a lot more different shades of color than I had available, and also some of the beads on the hand, heels and top didn't seem to be actually stuck to the rest of the figure. In fact, even with my modifications, one of the "antennas" on the head broke off, and I had to stick it back with superglue.

I know someone here did it at one point. I have some Megaman 2 boss headshots that I use as coasters.

I haven't done any new ones in a while, but I used to do a bunch. I'll try and find the pics.

I did some Suikoden 2 stuff, Secret of Mana, a few FF6 sprites, and several Shovel Knight guys, among other things!

Yeah I’ve done a bit of perling back in the day. I also have an awesome set of large robot masters that were gifted to me by ninja Santa during the previous iteration of the forum.

I was really into Perler about 5-10 years back. Like, really really into it. This is my crown jewel, a 68,121-bead mural depicting every Mega Man Robot Master from 1-10, filled out with the two from Powered Up. It took me about two years, on and off.

And I've also done some photos converted into pixel art, like the cover of King Crimson's In the Court of the Crimson King.

I stopped doing Perler around 2018 because, to absolutely no one's surprise, I started feeling what I suspect were symptoms of carpal tunnel like tingling and numbness in my right thumb and index finger. But I might get back to doing it again on a smaller scale before too long, both because it would make a great art project with my son, and because we have a lot of wall space in our house that needs to be filled up.

My fingers have been OK, but I get some bad back stiffness if I hunch over too long, and the table area I used for it (where I could leave semi-finished projects set up for a few days, safe from cats and such) got turned into a kid's room, so I haven't really had a place set aside where I could do these for a while. I can only finish very small ones in a single sitting!
