Kill 6 Billion Demons: Lying is the universal art

So book 4, King of Swords, just wrapped up, and Jagganoth seems to be much readier than anybody else is for the end. Which is apparently coming sooner than I thought too, because Abaddon's note at the bottom indicates that book 5 will be the end of the story.

This seems like as good a time as any to jump in, with another story arc complete. If you're already reading it but you've been sleeping on the text supplements beneath most pages, the break between now and the next chapter would be a good time to go read those because they're all pretty good. The Tale of Prince Kassardis, which begins below this page but is collected on the wiki here, is something I've found personally useful given the feelings of hopelessness that Late 2020 this can easily bring about. (And the story of Aesma and the Three Masters, which I took the thread title from, is just fun.)

I was not expecting things to wrap up this soon! I am excited. I've loved this comic since, maybe you?, put me on to it. Seeing as it is going to be ending I think I need to re-read everything before the end comes!

This reminds me that I need to pick up the author's Lancer RPG!

You really do and then we should get a group together and play it aaaaaahhhhhhh

Is there an easy way to get into this besides "go to page 1, click "next page" until you reach the homepage? A book form, or...something? I'm not honestly sure what else there would be, tbh

The first 3 books are available in print via Image; book 4 is scheduled for print release August 24 of next year. (If I’d known you were interested, I coulda lent you my copies when you were here earlier!)

As I kept posting in the old thread, I keep meaning to catch up on this, but at this point it's been so long I probably need to re-read from the beginning. Fortunately I know I have at least the first two print books around here in boxes somewhere (recently moved everything from downstairs due to remodeling so I"ll have to find them). Annoyingly I remember them being in totally different size formats; I think I must have picked up the first when it was self-published before Image picked it up or something.

No, Image published all three volumes from the start. They're just all in weird, totally different size formats for some reason. At this point I'll almost be disappointed if vol. 4 isn't a fourth size.

I’m really not enjoying Allison’s fight with depression and existential dread. Not to mention that Jadis is the worst therapist ever. I hope she gets sone real help soon.

I think the alt-text on the latest comic has a lot to do with what we are seeing in this arc.

I finally got caught up on this, except by caught up I mean only what's printed, so through the end of Book 4. It looks like book 5 is actually going to be split into two, since it's the longest yet? No idea when it'll be published; currently debating whether to jump in and read it on the web or to just wait for the print release(s).

Anyway, I really like it. The characters are pretty great, the art is amazing (especially when he breaks out into super-detail miniature mode and it's almost overwhelming to try and take everything in, like a violent Where's Waldo background). If I have one complaint it's that when reading it through in print form it seems to move pretty fast in places (especially with Allison's character progress early on). I don't know how long it's been running, but I'm sure some of that stuff would feel paced differently when reading it published over time on the web.
