June 2026 New Games Thread

Violentvixen

(She/Her)
The basic idea is to list new games that you are interested in, as well as games you are potentially curious about or want to give wider attention to. You can briefly describe them or ask other people to help fill you in. The hope is that regular threads like these can act as a collective filter/discovery mechanism to help people decide what is worth checking out.

"New games" means any new title that is being released or ported this month in any capacity (not "backlogs/what you are playing this month"). The angle here is sharing your anticipation and promoting game discovery (as opposed to sharing comments about a first playthrough in progress - that belongs elsewhere).
  • If you want a handy list that covers most of the major upcoming games of the month, here are lists of upcoming games:
Here are the subscription service lists for this month:

Gamepass
  • Final Fantasy VI - June 2
  • Jurassic World Evolution 3 - June 2
  • Solarpunk - June 8
  • Undisputed - June 8
  • Persona 5 Royal - June 9
  • Beastro - June 11
  • Frog Sqwad - June 11
  • Starseeker- June 11
  • Junkster - June 16
  • Denshattack! - June 17
  • Shift at Midnight - June 17
PS+
  • Grounded Fully Yoked Edition | PS5, PS4
  • Nickelodeon All Star Brawl 2 | PS5, PS4
  • Warhammer 40,000: Darktide | PS5
Feel free to post other lists or list videos that you find useful.
If there is already a thread on TT about a game, please add a link to it.

Final request: If you are the first person to mention a game please provide (at minimum) a short sentence description. (If it is a very big AAA release though, then don't worry about it.) This is a good convention that makes the thread more useful as a discovery mechanism, and especially helps out anyone who doesn't follow the news as closely as you.

I'm in for a rough June. In addition to the freshly-released Mina the Hollower (technically a May game), I'll be there with bells on for HD2D Zeld-'em-up The Adventures of Elliot and maximum-graphics remake Star Fox.

I'm also gonna check out Earthbound Beginnings Remake, a total conversion romhack for Earthbound that purports to remake Mother 1 in 16 glorious bits, guided by the idea "What if Nintendo had actually tried to sell this in the 90s?"

Plus, how many announcements at any of these summer shows do you think are gonna be "available now!"?

7th Guest Remake. Adored this game when I had it for PC as a kid. I'm excited to be able to play this now that its releasing without the VR googles required!

I'm also excited to play Gothic. An open ended RPG set in an enclosed world (limiting how open the open world is) seems like it will be right up my alley. I may wait for reviews because its a Ubisoft game, but I'm tentatively excited from everything I've seen from it.

Got my eyes on Mina the Hollower (grandfathered in from May) and Elliotgame but think I'll likely end up waiting on the latter

i've got r-type tactics i·ii cosmos on preorder from vgp but it's along with a couple july releases so i'm pretty sure i won't actually have it till late next month

tetris the grand master 4 absolute eye hits switch this week. i'm thinking about getting it but maybe for now having the arcade archives releases of 1 and 2 is good enough cause it's not like i can finish those either. hahaha.

there's a few other things of interest but i'm kinda waiting to see e.g. how my fellow a-trainers feel about a9 evolution (and if it gets localized i guess)

I’m in a similar boat with TGM4, I’d love to pick it up but I have TGM2 on my switch and I’m nowhere close to finishing it lol. Enjoy it a lot though alongside the Tetris 99 offline DLC. If I do pick it up it’ll definitely be on switch for the portable factor with my Lite.
