Counting Devilbat Shiltz from Zero 3, that puts us at 680

Two thoughts; Zero 3 is such a huge improvement over 1 and 2 it’s ludicrous.

Also, his name doesn’t show up through the course of normal play, so this is the first time I’ve known that the frog guy from Zero 2 is named Burble Hekelot. Which I’m sure we can all agree is the best name ever

Rockman 6 Shadow Game is pretty middle of the road as far as these things go. I feel like MM6 has the potential to be the base for a pretty great hack. This one is too unbalanced to be it though. The coolest thing here is Mach Velocity, Wind Man's weapon. While pressing B Mega Man holds a small tornado in front of him and releasing it shoots it forward, but it pulls Mega Man forward at double speed as long as he's holding it. Just ridiculous way to skip past enemies, and the tornado acts like a shield, AND it pushes and pulls enemies, projectiles, and platforms. Very unique and tons of fun to use, but trivializes so much of the game. Deserved to be in a better hack IMO.

Anyway 8 more and I guess I should find a hack of MM1 to round out the classic series.

11, Copy X counts as far as I’m concerned.

Add that to Blazin Flizard, Deathtan Mantisk and that bunny guy and we’re up to 710!

For me, I think it's MM5. But the fact that you don't lose your Buster charge when you get hit really helps in MM4.

I have no idea how many robots are in the Game Gear one (and I think this maybe the first time anyone’s played it for MegaMas. This is a year of firsts. Anyway, assuming it’s eight; that’s thirty five, which puts us all at 745!

So this is very weird, but in the MM Legacy Collection 1 (the NES megamans) The controls in MM3 don't seem to work? If I open the start menu I can't get out of it. Anyone else experienced anything like that?

Yes, but by how much? I would say by a hekelot.

749! Plus Anubis Necromancess, Hanumachine, Blizack Stagnaroff, Copy X and Cubit Foxtar so that means 754!

Also, while Anubis was the third in Mega Man Zero, he’s the Fifth when he is revived in Zero 3.

So either when he reappeared for a rematch in the first game, he was actually the fourth, and was already destroyed twice before you even fight him, or there was an Anubis Necromancess the Fourth who lived and died off screen between the first and third game.

What's Shenmue?
Just wrapped X5 as Zero. Man oh man did they ever buff him— most of his attacks don't put the enemy into stun, meaning he can deal damage very fast and just shred lifebars. He's so effective that a player (me) can make a bunch of mistakes and take plenty of damage and still emerge the victor, because Zero will always win a damage race.

I'd say that's another 11 (counting Dynamo, X and Sigma) for the pile.

Downed Mega Man 5 for the gameboy. Eight stardroids, plus a Terra, Enker, Quint, Punk, Ballade, and Sunstar. 14 robots by my count!

Not quite sure how many more mega man games I can chew through this year, BUT! I feel like I've made quite a dent in our robot total.

Six. Stone Man, Bright Man, Star Man, and Napalm Man, and then you fight Wave Man and Toad Man in the fortress. The boss is the same Wily from MM5, so I don't think it counts.

Mega Man X 1, 2, and 3 done. I killed everything I could in 1 with the Hadoken

So... if I’m not miscounting that makes 10 + 12 + 12 - 2 (assuming you skipped the Zero fight by beating the X-Hunters in 2)

What's Shenmue?
Funnily enough, I just came here to report that I finished X6. :p I've always heard people say it, but wow is it ever significantly more manageable as Zero— just the double jump alone is a real game-changer, turning what were once platforming challenges into perfunctory jumps. And he's, shockingly, buffed again from X5: even discounting the glitches, his standard attack is much faster, he's got a bunch of brand-new moves, almost none of them hit enemies into an invulnerable state (making it very easy to rack up damage), and he's got them all from the start! His secondary moves leave something to be desired this time, though.

Anyway, that's, I think, a grand total of 14 robots (counting Zero Nightmare, High Max, Dynamo, High Max II, Gate and Sigma).

After marathoning X1-5 last year, I appreciated 6 for bringing something new to the table. It wasn’t anything good, just new.

My appreciation immediately turned to dust as soon as I reached Metal Shark Players level
