The final boss's two forms are both robot master-y enough that I figure they counted, in contrast to most other X games where the forms afte rthe first of the final boss are giant room monsters.

I have been busy.
At one point I spent 6 hours in a car helping my dad through a doctor's appointment. I did not let it go to waste, as I brought my Vita and Switch with me.

Sidenote: Playing Mighty No. 9 in close proximity to all these other games really, really underscores how much of a disappointment it is. Zero/ZX/Gunvolt is there if you NEED your dramatic story in the games, Burst just fucking does short bite chunks better, the originals still have strong power and level design, it's just. It's the worst kind of bad game - it's boring that does nothing new, and doesn't even execute what it wants to do well.

The unfortunate part of Mighty No. 9 is that it actually has elements that I like. I enjoyed the dashing mechanic, something I thought I'd hate going in. The problem is that so many of the level designs are trash - forced hits, massive difficulty spikes, and so on. I'd have periods where I was having a blast, and then hit another massive issue. It needed more time in the oven for sure, and it's too bad that it failed so hard.

I've been pretty busy these last few months. And so, while this is all over, thanks to certain characteristics of my personality (coughUsernamecough) I'm pretty much legally obligated to participate, at least with one set of RMs. It's pretty convenient that I'm going to be trapped on plane for 5 hours this upcoming saturday, so I'll turn in my report for grading when I land.
