Jump Up, Super Star!, and voting against my own nomination in favor of Rosalina in the Observatory. I really just wanted to push the limits of what kinds of song were going to show up in this contest, and one that wasn't even originally from a Mario game seemed to fit the bill. I love the song but that clarinet playing is really good

I have to admit I'm getting a little confused about how we're supposed to be voting here -- maybe it's just me, but it feels a little "apples and oranges" to pit something from an actual game soundtrack against a cover/interpretation of something from a game soundtrack. I feel like voting for which piece of music you prefer is a very different thing from voting for which performance you prefer.

(To be clear, I don't have any problem with this Thunderdome, Issun is doing an amazing job running it and I'm enjoying all the music. Just feeling a bit of cognitive dissonance!)
