Also there's the weird clown boss at the robot museum, even if you don't fight Protoman.
 
Nah, Bass counts as three; each fight is markedly different even if it’s the same guy, and the Clown Robot doesn’t really have Robot Masters *vibes*

I mean, I wouldn’t say not to count it if you want to, but I don’t myself

An unrelated other discord buddy just informed me that they added “Rosepark and that Antelope fella” from ZX Advent to the list, so I guess that’s 172/1000
 
I have registered (thanks for having me!) with the express purpose of helping to save Christmas. Mega Man X2 has been completed, for a total of... 13? 8 robot masters, 3 X hunters, one Sigma, and Violen's second fight counts, too. I'm told it's a vibes thing.

This is a banner year for non TT peeps contributing the MEGAMAS, as I’ve also seen evidence that Cutman was defeated on one of those MyArcade tiny arcade cabinet emulators; which is assuredly the first time that feats been accomplished for Megamas.

My kid was adamant that we rebuild Zero after his tragic passing in MMX, so we gain a handful of X Hunters but lose one Zero battle. It was worth it to hear him excitedly tell his mother all about "silver Zero" at dinner, though.

All that aside, you make a good point; I have gone back and defeated Zero. That's one more for the cause.
 
I can respect doing it for the kids.

Didn't realize until I re-read it that both Violen encounters count separately. There goes my way to game the system.
 
I count both Violens, but only one of Serges and Agile, so if you beat those two but skip the first Violen, you can get 13 for the game.
 
Mega Man 7 - 11 (Initial 8, Bass, Super Bass, Mash)

My own numbers only count the Wily Castle Bass Fights, and I'll usually just rush through and not get Protoman. I also dont' consider Guts Man G to be a Robot Master type fight, closer to Big Machines. I think Mash is close enough and Robot-Master enough to count. Up for Octo to decide.

I beat hard man, top man and shadow man and then my dog required attention so that’s all you get until after the kids are in bed. Deal with it!

I had to get some quick screen captures from Mega Man 2 and Mega Man 6. Naturally, this turned into beating both games. I shall not suffer a Centaur to live.

Oh yeah it’s vastly more enjoyable and also a big ol sack of nuffin’

Conversely, Mega Man III is great and now we can add 9 more robots to the Yule Log; 406/1000! Will we hit the midway point before the weekend is over? Only time will tell!
 
Inspired by this thread and easy accessibility on the Switch, I decided to try Mega Man: Dr. Wily's Revenge and Mega Man II again for the first time in probably decades.

... It wasn't great.

But some "classic" robot masters were certainly banished.
 
Shall I count that as 18 more then?

Regardless, I took care of that Sunstar that was shining in the sky this Christmas, so that makes for 14 more so we’ve got 430!
