I Think You Should Leave: It's Turbo Time!

Two episodes in. It's definitely one of the best sketch shows I've seen.

Seriously, fuck Bart Harley Jarvis.

I think the most recent news is that it Season 2 was supposed to come out in 2020 but now ??? due to the pandemic.

If this gets a GLOW style retroactive cancellation it will be a world historical tragedy.

Probably has a much lower budget though so . . . hopefully it's fine.

I didn't realize it had already been out for a year and a half! I thought it had only been a few months. Sorry to get everyone's hopes up.

I fell asleep watching it (cuz I was tired from work not cuz it's bad) and, surprise, I liked it a lot so far! I've watched the first season multiple times and suspect I will do the same with this. The entire concept of sloppy steaks was just...A++

Octopus Prime

Mysterious Contraption
(He/Him)
I’m going to rematch the first season before starting the second; I might Need a refresher on the plot

Rascally Badger

El Capitan de la outro espacio
(He/Him)
I really liked the Odenkirk one. It manages to be absurdly hilarious and really kind of sad.

On first viewing Season 2 doesn't quite hit as hard as Season 1, but there is still a lot here to like.

Johnny Unusual

(He/Him)
Yeah, the Odenkirk one has the usual stuff: a lie, underlying insecurity and ability to read the room, but it reveals a sad guy given an opportunity to convince someone of his "dream".

Johnny Unusual

Finished episode three. Safari Hat is another great sketch. I love that they made a sketch show rooted so firmly in one theme. I don't think any of the sketches are actual misses.

If you're making six 15 minute episodes every two years, your sketch show better be all killer no filler. And thankfully I Think You Should Leave is.

Rascally Badger

El Capitan de la outro espacio
(He/Him)
I keep thinking about the sketch where Robinson puts on a hat and glasses and starts dancing to liven up a house party and refuses to stop when the dog starts barking at him.

Also, Jamie Taco can go to hell.

Also also, I want these guys to make a full Christmas movie, between the night that Scrooge saved Christmas and Detective Crashmore (starring Santa Claus as Crashmore), they've already made 2 of my favorite Christmas movies.

Rascally Badger

El Capitan de la outro espacio
(He/Him)
This show just sticks in my brain and I can't stop thinking about it. Today, its Tammy Craps. And that barking dog. Really, its the tears in Tim Robinson's eyes when he takes off the hat and sunglasses and says "Its just me Barbie. I'm not the Blues Brothers."

Octopus Prime

Mysterious Contraption
(He/Him)
This is absolutely the kind of show that understands and appreciates the fact that the word “skeleton” is the most aesthetically perfect word in the English language

This will probably be an unpopular opinion, but while I more or less enjoyed the first season, I barely cracked a smile throughout the second. (And it's not a matter of not being in the mood for it -- I rewatched all of S1 immediately before starting S2.) The show really just fell off a cliff for me. A lot of the sketches seemed to go on for way longer this time, too. I feel like I'm still watching Calico Cut Pants.

Johnny Unusual

(He/Him)
I would say Episode 5 was weaker than usual for me. And Sloppy Steaks didn't hit me the way it hit some. But overall, it was a solid season. Bob Odenkirk and guy who loves his wife were highlights.
