I Think You Should Leave: It's Turbo Time!

Just watched a bunch of SNL sketches with Robinson and man, his talents were so wasted there. I'm glad he didn't last very long.

This is probably the best one with him, and it's still not as good as anything in ITYSL:

Have you watched his episode of "The Characters" on Netflix? It is very much a proto-ITYSL and there are some real good sketches there.

I also really recommend Detroiters for fans of ITYSL - it's a two-season sitcom starring Tim Robinson and Sam Richardson as creative leads for an ad agency. Still has a lot of the things that make the sketch show successful (ad parodies, weird guests, yelling) but is also a weirdly heartwarming love letter to Detroit that makes me smile despite never having been to Detroit. It originally aired on Comedy Central and is on Paramount Plus now, I think.

Man, this skit is one of the ones that's permanently lodged in my brain, but I never realized that Tim Robinson was even in it. Then again, I don't think I ever really knew who he was pre-ITYSL, so that's probably on me.

I mostly knew Tim from Comedy Bang Bang, particularly when he and Bob Odenkirk played a comedy duo where one of them was actually a ghost and therefore cannot show up on camera.

I will say that, after watching this sketch, Sudeikis is easily my #1 most wanted for a season 3 sketch. He and Tim definitely have a chemistry.

For some reason this didn't even occur to me, but now it's my #1 wish for season 3 too.

I mean, sing along whenever I hear that song now.

Season 3 is out Tuesday, May 30.

I thought season 2 was a huge step down from the first, but I'll give this show another shot.

I am very much on this show's wavelength. I very much enjoyed season 3, though I am not sure it has as many quotable/meme-able moments as the first two seasons.

Yeah agreed (although I watched the entire season while also playing zelda). Driving crooner is probably the most memorable one.

I have been muttering to myself "I'm gonna fucking KILL you, Driving Crooner" intermittently for the past couple days
