Oh god, just seeing these two makes me feel old. So long, since I found that show with 19, and immediately fell in love (I found it late, it was in 2006, still half my life ago).

Might be time for a rewatch. Such a unique mood in that show. It really was one of a kind.
 
Taking my kids trick or treating last night and an old man ask me if I was wearing a Sonic Youth T-shirt. I told him no, it was a Sonic the Hedgehog shirt, but he waxed nostalgically about seeing Sonic Youth back in the day before we moved on to the next house.

An old man... waxing nostalgically... for Sonic Youth...
 
Just got an email announcing special maps for Halo 2's 20th anniversary. I don't know why that specific one is hitting so hard but oh boy it is
 
I saw somebody on Twitter talking about Mac Tonight and they were saying he was from the 70's.
He started in 1986.
Mac Tonight has reached the age where people mess up the decade he's from. Sort of like when I hear about "I Love Lucy" and go "that's from the 40's! Or was it the 50's?"

We were talking at work about marking things on a map today to show where someone was traveling. Then one coworker said "oh, have any of you heard of this really old show called Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego? They'd put cones on the map and stuff."

I was fine with calling it an old show, but "really old"? No. Not allowed.

I said it was absolutely not really old, they were all wrong, and also it had the best theme song ever.

I remember being excited because they were making a game show adaptation of the computer game that I already loved!
 
Carmen Sandiego stuff is old, and I was the target audience for it.

Baudshaw's Xbox 360 post, though. Now that one stings. "Earliest console I remember playing" for a system that debuted while I was in college. Hnnnnnnnnnnnnnnng
