Hyrule Warriors, come out to Play! Let's Play HW Definitive Edition!

Adventure Mode - Adventure Map

Moving back to the Adventure Map now, we have our sights on that elusive Twili Midna unlock, so it's back into the mountains as we work toward that unlock. While we move through a few battles there, we do snag a new costume for Ganondorf from the 3DS version: The Wind Waker Robes! This isn't a recolor like the stuff we got in the Great Sea Map but instead a fully new outfit like Link's Classic Tunic or the Breath of the Wild outfits. We still have Lana's final weapon unlock nearby but I don't quite make it there this time.

New battle type!

Adventure Battle: Prevent the sorceress's scheme!
While this is basically a standard battle, it does use the 'Save the stranded Allied Forces' mission type, where your allies are being attacked and you have to capture Keeps to unlock your path toward them to rescue them in time.

Challenge Mode: Ganon's Fury

In celebration of 50 videos, we're dipping into some new content: The Challenge Mode.

When Challenge Mode was originally added to the Wii U version, it only had one scenario: Running Battle in Faron Woods. However later on the Challenge Mode was expanded to including new normal scenarios, but also there were new modes added: Boss Challenge and Ganon's Fury. But for today we are going to peek into Ganon's Fury.

As the name may suggest, this is the mode where you play as Ganon, the beast form. This is very much a glass cannon mode, you're big and do a lot of damage and tower over your enemies, but it's really easy to eat a lot of hits because of your size. Ganon has his own level ups but you cannot use the Bazaar to level up Ganon like you can other Warriors. However, you can level up Ganon to a high level and then the game will see Ganon's level as the highest character if so and let you pay Rupees to level those characters to match Ganon's level.

There are several scenarios in Ganon's Fury, and a special reward to be obtained, and while that reward is beyond the scope of this video it's still something fun to keep in mind. So what types of scenarios do we have here?

Defeat X enemies!
A KO mission where you mow through hordes of weaker enemies as well as taking on Giant Bosses. Eventually Ghirahim and Zant will appear as allies.

Giant Battle!
These missions feature Giant Boss 'Lord of the Horde' you have to take down, the lesser Giant Bosses guard the Lords and Lords give Boss Attacks as drops. The Great Fairy appears as an enemy that can heal the bosses.

Survival Battle!
A healing-limited battle type (even leveling up does not restore health!) and you have to take on waves of enemies. Notably, the higher levels of Survival Battle is where we unlock the special reward for Ganon's Fury. This is also a reward I've never unlocked, so you'll hopefully eventually get to see me unlock it in the Let's Play!

Adventure Mode - Adventure Map

Back into the Adventure Map with the goal of grabbing Lana's final weapon type: the Summoning Gate, before peeking our head into that brown area in the lower west of the map that had never gotten exposed before. This leads into the forest area containing the Lost Woods as well as LEVEL-3 and LEVEL-7, with a rather difficult Imprisoned battle guarding the bridge heading that direction. Despite unlocking the Summoning Gate, we didn't get a chance to show it off this time.

Adventure Battle: Weather the storm of enemy forces!
This is another one of those battles where I'm not entirely sure why it's named the way it is. The enemy has Messengers to recruit reinforcements so perhaps it's related to that.

Adventure Mode - Adventure Map

Now that we're working toward the southwest of the map, we have LEVELS 3, 4, and 7 nearby, which are all homes to Skulltulas, but really today is just cleaning up a bit while working on LEVEL-3 and preparing LEVEL-4 for a future video. Unfortunately we struggle a bit with some Manhandlasm but then make up for it with a pair of the easiest quizzes ever.

Adventure Mode - Adventure Map

Making our way to LEVEL-3 last time actually opens up a few places, not just the way to LEVEL-4 like I had in mind last time. That's one joy about these Adventure Mode maps, sometimes when you hop in a mood takes you in a different direction because of a shiny new prize. That's the case today, as seeing how close we are to the bottom-left corner and the Great Fairy weapon unlock. So today's focus is that weapon unlock, as well as Zelda's Skyward Robes, a costume that makes Zelda look like her Skyward Sword version.

No new battle types today, though we're starting to see some of the more difficult variations of some fights like 'Defeat the Giant Bosses'.

Adventure Mode - Great Sea Map

Changing gears for a little more time in the Great Sea, we've got more of the starting quadrant to explore, to grab that elusive Wind Waker item card to open the path to the south. This requires us going to a Boss square representing Dragon Roost Island. Luckily the way also gets us a couple new costumes (we'll check those out later) as well as the Level 2 Light Sword for Toon Link and the Level 2 Baton for Zelda (it's fitting the Baton weapon is also the location of the Wind Waker item card)
ou forget to search to unlock the reward for getting an A Rank.

Adventure Battle: Destroy the army with boosted morale!
The battle starts with various allied units being attacked, and if they retreat, the enemy gets boosted morale. In theory you would prevent them from running, but in practice there are too many targets so you'll be dealing with that aftermath.

Adventure Mode - Adventure Map

Today we're going to head to the northeast corner after that Linkle Boots weapon drop, which in the Switch version is found in the corner in the screen that holds 100 Rupees in the original Legend of Zelda. This is an odd one because Linkle's Boots were originally part of the Link's Awakening DLC on the 3ds and you would think the Level 1 would be unlocked immediately, or be placed on the Koholint Isle map with the Level 2-4+ versions. For comparison, the other 3DS DLC weapon, Toon Link's Sand Wand, is found on the Grand Travels Map to match the 3DS DLC it originally released with.

We won't unlock that weapon today, because we actually fail a mission because of a Hylian Captain retreating. But it does go to show that sometimes, trying to 'fully clear' a mission by capturing every keep and taking on every big name target can be to your detriment. Sometimes you need to focus on the actual mission at hand, even if it means you don't defeat Cia for a drop or grab that extra Keep with nothing in it.

In other news though, we show off Link's Great Fairy weapon! No new battle types today.

Wait until you see the 8-bit version of the Great Fairy weapon.

I've been chewing away at the Adventure Mode maps for literally years now. There's nearly a thousand levels! I've finally full-cleared (got 100% on) the first three maps, but even then I notice there are some Heart Containers I didn't get.

There's so many bits of questionable design, sometimes outright bugs, in this game. Sometimes messages get delayed, and you won't get a notice until a couple of minutes after the event happens. If a character necessary so you won't lose or expendable? You have to go into the menus to find out! Messengers are the most laughably fragile characters in the game. So many things are poorly explained, or only mentioned in the loading screen tips, or just not explained at all. The game will often not show you all the low-level mook characters in an area, so you'll vanquish a horde of enemies, but a bunch more will just instantly materialize to their place, like they're more quantum superpositions of a probabilistic cloud of monsters than actual discrete enemies.

And there's SO MUCH FANSERVICE, not in the sense of barely-clothed characters (there's only a couple of those, probably because of Nintendo prohibitions), but in the sense of the mighty ultrapandering. The soundtrack seems to be roughly half different remixes of the Legend of Zelda main theme. sometimes done in excessive electric guitar. It's frankly embarrassing to witness sometimes.

Yet I still come back to it. Link's at max level at 255 in my game (partly because of the Great Fairy "weapon," they're ludicrously overpowered), and everyone else is at least level 75, even the weird extra characters you unlock late like Marin, King Daphnes, Toon Zelda (really?) and Yiga (really??). It's really fun to just smack a bunch of monsters silly and clear out a few more levels.

Adventure Mode - Adventure Map

With three weapons left to unlock on the Adventure Map, and the path to Linkle's Boots already open, we start there before going back into the canyons to chase down the other two weapons. In the northwest corner, we have Zelda's Dominion Rod, and south in the graveyard we have Link's Spinner. And conveniently enough we have a path that starts us toward both before forking. So while taking care to avoid a sneaky Ganon battle square (the highest level Giant Boss square features a Ganon and two Gohma battle I'm just not ready to deal with) we reach the fork and let fate decide: the path toward the graveyard looks easier, so that's the way we head.

Linkle's Boots are based on the design of the Iron Boots from Ocarina of Time with bits of the Pegasus Boots mixed in and is another great weapon type, meaning Linkle is fun to play with either option.

New battle type!

Adventure Battle - Take on the sword masters!
Amusingly enough, this name makes perfect sense for MOST of the battle, since the enemies are all captains with swords and commanders like Ghirahim and Impa. The only oddity is Twili Midna at the end, alas.

Adventure Mode - Grand Travels Map

As our rush to fill in the missing weapon slots continues, today I turn my eye toward the Grand Travels Map, with both Toon Zelda to unlock and Toon Link's Sand Wand waiting to be found. We already put in some leg work previously to find a Cannon item card to unlock Toon Zelda, so after snatching one of those we can grab Toon Zelda and even make some progress toward the location of Toon Zelda's Level 2 Phantom Arms

Unfortunately, all this running around comes at a price: the sand in the Phantom Hourglass has fallen!

EDIT: I forgot to post the new battle type!

Adventure Battle: Stop the Rogue Forces and defeat the enemy!
These battles feature the Rogue Forces stealing units from the red army, but eventually also stealing units from your army. You might not think it matters if the enemy is red or yellow, but the stolen yellow units get a morale boost and push for your base.

Adventure Mode - Koholint Island Map

Another detour to another map today, we've got the path from Tail Cave to Bottle Grotto to travel along so we can get Marin's Level 2, and a few screens from there we can Linkle's Level 2 Boots, so even though the map is called 'Hero Difficulty' we can stick to these easier maps and still progress. To help visualize this, here's Koholint's difficulty layout:
xzi0ZmD.png

(Difficulty goes in order: White > Green > Yellow > Purple > Orange > Blue > Red)

And with the map put back in:
HoHSuz8.png

So as you can see, we started in the easiest difficulty area and have easy access through the green areas to the Bottle Grotto, the second dungeon, where Marin's Level 2 Bell is located. These colors ARE visible in game when you start the maps, but as you expose the map the colors do vanish. I hope sharing this is helpful in some way as I do like being informative, and I can show them for other maps as well.

As for why I'm jumping around on the maps? I want to help keep some of the DLC characters relevant, so getting Level 2 weapons for those characters at the same time we're farming Level 2 weapons from the Great Sea map ensures they'll all be at a similar power level. Plus you can blame the ADHD too if you want.

Also worth noting is we start this map with the special effect of the Full Moon Cello active from the end of our last trip here, starting with full Special Meter for the first three levels we play. The second instrument, the Conch Horn, is located on the same map as the Level 2 Bell and gives the special effect for three maps of reduced damage taken.

No new battle types today.

This is very cool!
I used a handy website I found on reddit for map images found here, which lets you look at different screens to see where all the searchables are as well as showing what keeps items are found in. It's handy for lots of stuff, since it has a search function.

There's also the massive google doc that HylianAngel put together back when the Switch version was new that has a lot of the same information. (I'm credited in the google doc because I was the first to map out the locations of all the Fairy Food for the Lorule Map, at least in English)

Adventure Mode - Lorule Map

Based on the last couple videos, you might have been expecting this. We've still got one last character to unlock on the Lorule Map: Yuga, the sorcerer who attacks with paintings and set the events of A Link Between Worlds into motion. That makes the final character unlock but not the final weapon since we have three others to find.

Since the map in last post was such a hit, I'm going to do the same with the Lorule Map, so here's our difficulty layout:
LCLVjht.png

And with the map tiles again:
vbpnO4P.png

I enjoy looking at the colors because I think it shows some of the behind the curtain handholding the game is doing, there are routes the game expects you to take even if you might get distracted by shiny stuff and go off on your own.

One special map in particular we see today is Adventure Battle: Take on the warriors of Majora's Mask! Lv.1. An otherwise unassuming normal battle with the special quirk being Skull Kid and Young Link as targets... but this map starts with a Summoner and as you progress two other Summoners come in, until there's a total of three Summoners who continuously summon weak Goron units on top of you. So why is this worth noting? This is THE place to farm weapon skill unlocks. These are the skills that you get on weapons sometimes that have KO counters to unlock the ability. And this map is the best place in the game to do so. So at endgame when we're starting to assemble our perfect weapons, and need a bunch of Heart Power unlocks (5000x KOs apiece) or other high end skills, this map will be the place to go.

As for our progress, not only do we grab Yuga, but Yuga's Level 2 Portrait and Ravio's Level 2 Hammer are both close enough to work toward, so while we don't get those weapons we make decent progress toward both. Yuga is another fun character to play as with his Lightning element Painting and even gets to show off how easily he can farm KOs in the aforementioned map with the weakest weapon possible.

New costume references:
Great Sea Map
Ghirahim - Kalle Demos
Volga - Valoo

Lorule Map
Ruto - Queen Oren

New battle type:
Adventure Battle: Take on the warriors of Majora's Mask!
See above.

Adventure Mode - Adventure Map

With two final weapons on the Adventure Map we're almost ready to switch gears on this map. Last time we cleared the path to Link's Spinner, so the goal is to grab that and then move up north toward Zelda's Dominion Rod. But don't get too cocky... That Dominion Rod is deep in the red zone of the map. So let us take a look!

2JhJNyx.png

I never actually posted a map of the Adventure Map before, because I assumed "Well everyone knows the Zelda 1 map" but it does seem silly in hindsight not to post it. Plus it does have SOME minor differences like the Water Bomb rocks or dig spots.

yAUIKyY.png

I do think it's interesting to see the color progression and the 'intended' progression. Note that the color progression does NOT lead you through Levels 1-8 in numerical order.

I am focusing on weapons as unlockables, but even afterward, keep in mind the Adventure Map still has a handful of Costumes, and Skulltulas, as well as Hearts. So there will be things to do here (and Skulltulas are a goal I want to focus on eventually to unlock the best Apothecary potions)..

New battle types!
Adventure Battle: Defeat the warriors of Twilight!
A battle with a focus on Twilight Princess characters like Zant and Midna.

Adventure Battle: Attend the Festival of Cuccos!
This battle would be standard fare but a bunch of Cucco events kick in all together. Escort Cucco Chick to Mama Cucco, Cuccos taking over Keeps, and passive Cuccos that will follow you until you attack them too much as aggro them.

Adventure Battle: Dash gallantly into battle!
Battle with two armies, it seems like Dash gallantly refers to how you need to deal with troubles in multiple places. It's a bit of an intense fight.

Adventure Mode - Adventure Map

Deep in the red area of the map we have one last weapon to chase after: Zelda's Dominion Rod. And that means we're getting some of the hardest maps in Adventure, where we can't just overpower everything... Though it makes me look forward to moving on to grab more Level 2 weapons to help characters like Midna or Volga get stronger. One benefit that we come across today: 45 Skulltulas, ranking up the Apothecary. It'll be 90 Skulltulas to unlock the highest rank and give us our endgame farming skills. We also grab a Weird Egg fairy food unlock (and a bonus Fire My Fairy as well), meaning we've grabbed all the Fairy Food found on the Adventure Map except for one: the Odd Mushroom. So that's a goal next time we peek into the Adventure Map.

New battle type!
Adventure Battle: Be like a magician and make your foes disappear!
It's a cute name, but I'm not sure exactly what they mean beyond taking out enemies normally. At least Zant's Darkness element makes Sheik and Fi go down quickly.

Adventure Mode - Great Sea Map

Now that we have all the weapons from Adventure Map, its time to turn our focus to the Great Sea Map, which holds the majority of remaining Level 2 weapons. There have certainly been some characters that haven't been our first picks on some maps because they have Level 1 weapons when someone else has a Level 2. Luckily, the weapon spread on Great Sea is a lot of compact than the weapons scattered on the Adventure Map.

As for actual progress, last time we were on the Great Sea Map we got a Wind Waker Item Card. These limited quantity items serve as keeps to access new areas of the map, using them on a screen with a headwind will open a new path forward. In addition, the difficulty of the Great Sea Map is very simple, in comparison to all the the other maps. Let's post that handy color map!

3Gvvytc.png

This one is neat to see because the zones are all simple and easy to understand. White 'tutorial' area that requires the main gimmick of the map to escape? Second area with some easy upgrades? Also one trick I like is that the hardest section of the map is literally next to the start, but you have to travel the map to get there.

Version with graphics for comparison:
MArKDwd.png

New Battle type?
Adventure Battle: Don't leave your troops hanging!
Cia's Level 2 weapon involves this mission requiring escorting Messengers to specific keeps.

Adventure Mode - Great Sea Map

Continuing in the green area of the map, we've got more level 2 weapons on hand, with Darunia's hammer near where we stopped before, Link's Fire Rod off in one direction, and Ghirahim and Zant's near the border. We also show off the Arrow item, which in this map helps remove 'hard mode' restrictions off of a map.

New costume references!
Great Sea
Lana - Deku Princess
Young Link - Kafei

New battles!
Adventure Battle - Defeat the barrier specialist forces!
The gimmick here revolves around the elemental barriers in keeps that you use elemental fairies to remove, with enemies that can set up new barriers in keeps (I believe they can even capture one of your keeps when doing so) and other enemies who will appear holding new fairies that will retreat.

Adventure Mode - Grand Travels Map

Heading back to Grand Travels Map today with some simple goals: get Toon Zelda's Lvl 2 Phantom Arms, and Toon Link's Sand Wand. Normally, I'd prioritize the Level 1 weapon first, but we have a problem. Because of the central Hourglass mechanic and the time we've already spent on the map, the sand has all fallen to the bottom of the Phantom Hourglass, and that has cursed the map to make all movement to require A Rank victories to progress. The only way to reset the Hourglass is to do the 'Final Battle! Defeat the (X) beast' type battles. Since the nearest battle of that type is actually Toon Zelda's Lvl 2 weapon, we start by focusing there.

Here's that difficulty spread:
xvqh4DQ.png

Last of these we'll see until we move on to the Master Quest and Master Wind Waker maps.

5g4kGkf.png

And the map with all the tiles for reference. But, I'm going to go one further this time. I've got a map that shows all the 'Final Battle' screens that will reset the Phantom Hourglass.

oq37Y85.png

Did a little edit to remove the screens from the center area (we can't use those screens to reset the hourglass) so the marked tiles are all screens that can be used to reset the Hourglass.

New battles!
Challenge Battle: Win the Rupee competition!
Yellow commanders with high morale are farming Rupees and you need to get more than they do. Rupee+ weapons or the Rupee Festival potion from the Apothecary can help, but are not required. High value targets called Rupee Captains will spawn, special targets holding a 'Rupee Fairy' will spawn and either give you a boost or power up the Yellow commanders if they defeat them, and there are Rupee Thieves that can turn the tide by stealing massive amounts of Rupees from you.

Adventure Mode - Great Sea Map

Back on the Great Sea to unlock more Level 2 weapons. Right next to the Ghirahim weapon we found before, Zant's weapon is waiting to be claimed, while Wizzro's looks deceptively close but is actually beyond an obstacle that requires a new item to bypass: The Sea Map. Nonetheless, there's other weapons we can reach like the Fire Rod or Naginata while we go hunt down that map.

New? battle type
Adventure Battle: Trust in your troops' resilience!
The Fire Rod battle is basically just another 'barrier specialist forces' map where you have to capture all the keeps with Elemental Barriers.

Adventure Mode - Great Sea Map

The quest for the Sea Map item card continues as we explore the rest of the southeast corner, making a detour for Impa's Lvl 2 Naginata. With more costumes on the way, we work our way to the Wind Waker headwind and snag the map, but we have a few encounters with Giant Bosses on the way. Since we had a Team Up mission where I totally messed up the commander types we got a lot of encounters with Ghoma and Manhandla, and this prompted me after the fact to try to track down the information on commander types in Team Up missions. Sadly, the list I've found is based on the Wii U version so some characters are missing, but I guess I can fill it in as needed, like how I already know Tetra is a Mage type (I've previously called these types Summoners but based on how the Support type also summons I'll stick with these new names. I'll go ahead and share that information here.

Berserker: Link, Ganondorf, Darunia, Midna, Volga, Twili Midna
As an ally, they gain morale. As an enemy, they become pumped for battle and eventually become even stronger.
Mage: Impa, Lana, Zelda, Fi, Cia, Wizzro, Tetra
As an ally, they drop Magic Jars on the battlefield. As an enemy, they summon up to 2 Giant Bosses.
Support: Sheik, Ruto, Agitha, Zant, Ghirahim, Linkle
As an ally, they drop Triforce Pieces on the battlefield. As an enemy, they summon 2 extra captains and eventually inspire enemy troops.

New costume references!
Great Sea
Twili Midna - Zelda (Twilight Princess)
Skull Kid - Vaati

New battle type
Adventure Battle: Defend the allied keeps!
I'm not sure how this is a new battle type but I've perused the thread and it doesn't seem listed already. Defeat enemy Bombchus before they explode in your keeps.

Adventure Mode - Great Sea Map

With the Sea Chart in hand, we have that Wizzro Lvl. 2 Ring waiting for us, taunting us. Taunting is actually the right word, since I forget to search for the reward before playing the map. I would just off-screen beating the level again, but there is a catch: the level has Skulltulas, so the second playthrough features a second Skulltula to collect. So let's discuss the second Skulltulas.

The first Skulltula in Legend Mode stages as well as Adventure Mode is simple enough, you get 1000 KOs and the Skulltula appears. Second Skulltulas are a little more complicated. Legend Mode is it's own special can of worms here, but in Adventure Mode they give you a specific task to accomplish like defeating a certain number of enemies with Special Moves or Focus Spirit, while also not taking more than 40% of your health in damage (4 hearts instead in the Wii U and 3DS versions) and while accomplishing the starting mission of the map. You can check this requirement in game.

New costume:
Great Sea
Darunia - Biggoron (Phantom Hourglass)

New Battle type:
Adventure Battle: Battle alongside your... twin?
At first the battle seems to be a simple 'barrier specialist forces' map. The twins come into play when a pair, a Big Blin and Stone Blin, appear and take turns boosting each other's morale. If you defeat the weaker one while the other's morale is boosted, they keep the boost. That might not be direct twins (hence the question mark in the name) but the joke gets hammered in when the second pair of 'twins' is... Tingle and Linkle. They're a pair because their names sound similar. That's it, that's the joke.

Adventure Mode - Great Sea Map

Moving on through the yellow zone of the Great Sea, and with better luck on actually unlocking rewards before proceeding, we have Skull Kid and Ruto's Lvl. 2 weapons to hunt down. As well as trying to get in some practice with taking down Giant Bosses with Agitha (I'm still not great at it, but I'm practicing!).

Costume reference!
Great Sea
Ruto - Laruto

And battle types!
Adventure Battle: Fight your way through fire and flames!
Ruto's weapon stage has this flavorful name, but the enemies have fire elemental affinities like Volga, Linkle, and fire-breathing Aeralfos. But the map is also one featuring Turncoat soldiers that betray your army.

Some future goals we're looking at, just to lay some cards on the table:
The remaining Level 2 weapons on the Great Sea Map
Linkle's Level 2 Boots on Koholint Isle
Toon Link's Sand Wand (Lvl 1 and 2) on Grand Travels Map
Ravio and Yuga's Level 2 weapons on Lorule
Hard Mode 2nd Skulltulas in Legend Mode
and a surprise contender:
Medli's Level 2 Harp on the Master Wind Waker Map

Adventure Mode - Grand Travels Map

In the mood to switch gears, so let's head back to the Grand Travels Map to snatch up that last weapon type: The Sand Wand. Amusingly enough, this is Video #69 and the Lvl. 3 Sand Wand is called the Nice Sand Wand, so, I'm gonna take the win where I can. I would have liked to show it off, but the rest of the stages were difficult enough that we wanted to focus on clearing instead of showing off. Don't worry, the Sand Wand will get shown off soon enough. Aside from unlocking the Lvl. 1 version, we make some progress toward the resting place of the Lvl. 2 version as well!

New costume reference:
Grand Travels
Toon Link - Engineer's Clothes

No new battle types today.

Adventure Mode - Great Sea Map

Now that our detour to get the Sand Wand is done and we have Lvl. 1 versions of every weapon in the game, let's explore more of the Great Sea so we can unlock more Lvl. 2's soon! While not actually getting any weapons today, we do give the Sand Wand plenty of time to shine as well. Our path on the map today leads us up toward the Forsaken Fortress on the map. More exciting? Finally reaching some stages with a decent number of Stone Blins! Possibly a map to do for some farming offscreen sometime?

No new battle types today.

Adventure Mode - Great Sea Map

Today our goal is a whole horde of Level 2 weapons to get Link some more high end options, as well as welcome Ganondorf to the Lvl. 2 club. Surprisingly enough, this might be the most productive video for weapon unlocks yet. I do find it interesting that it's Ganondorf's Trident, not the Great Swords that are our first Lvl. 2 weapon for Ganondorf. I guess maybe they really thought the Trident for a more fitting weapon than the Great Swords?

New Battle type!
Adventure Battle: Lead a raid deep into enemy territory!
This is another 'barrier specialist forces' type map, though I guess with less playable characters.

Adventure Mode - Great Sea Map

With a big batch of new weapons last time, we're ready to advance to the purple difficulty area taking up the southeast of the map, home to the remaining Link, Zelda, and Ganondorf weapons, but also Twili Midna's. The game clearly knows Twili Midna's is exciting because it's isolated in a dead end nook behind a headwind that requires one of the limited Wind Waker item cards. We also make sure not to accidentally not search before getting an A-rank.

Adventure Battle - Pierce through enemy defenses
This map features two different elemental fairies as well as several battles taking up the map that affect morale.

Adventure Battle - Hustle in the east and bustle in the west!
Twili Midna's weapon involves a map with Recruiters trying to steal our units.

Just a quick check in, getting settled in new apartment but haven't been able to get my recording setup going yet. Soon!

Adventure Mode - Great Sea Map

Back to the purple zone, where the final weapons for Link, Zelda, and Ganondorf sit. You'd think that was almost deliberate. Fortunately the weapon spread on Great Sea feels like we're constantly unlocking new things. With the Great Swords for Ganondorf and the Horse for Link getting upgrades, we have all of the weapons for those characters at Lvl. 2 now! Even better, though, we also get one of the best costumes.

Costume reference!
Great Sea
Agitha - Gothic Lolita

New battle types:
Adventure Battle: Destroy enemies and traitors alike!
Another variation of the Turncoat missions.

Adventure Mode - Great Sea Map

Our goal today was simple, grab Zelda's Dominion Rod and move into the orange zone of the Great Sea Map to snatch up most of the remaining Lvl. 2 weapons. That was the goal, but sometimes the maps don't work that nice. Why is that? Because the first weapon we find in the orange zone, Fi's Lvl. 2 Goddess Blade, requires an item card we haven't found: the Power Bracelets! So instead it's a detour back to the purple area, to a map representing Headstone Island in Wind Waker (fitting, a location of a Stone Head you need Power Bracelets to move). At least we get a boss type we haven't seen for a bit.

New battle types:
Adventure Battle: Best the secretive enemies!
Another of these oddly named maps that are copies of others, this is a 'defend against Bombchus' mission that then transitions into dealing with enemy Messengers.

Adventure Battle: Crush the spirits of these perky upstarts!
This is another version of the maps with Recruiters stealing our named units. The name might be because of Ghirahim as our ally, and the red army is a bunch of Poes, so spirits?

Next video is 75, so expect something new.
