Roping the scores of existing BotW fans into playing a Musou is a shrewd business move. Going so far as to say it's c*non is just merciless.

She is incredibly fun to play. I’m delighted that they give you a weird moveset this early in the game.Zelda looks incredibly fun to play. I cannot wait to mow down armies with my smartphone of doom.
It’s really great, and it’s a fantastic yet subtle way that the game’s form helps inform its characters. Having Zelda mess around and just kinda hack the Sheikah Slate into doing batshit stuff is perfectly in character for her and tells us a lot about her personality and capabilities as a person.And I LOVE Impa and Zelda's movesets... Sheikah Slate glitchfest

What then goes unsaid in all of this, is that Link must have the personality/imagination of a soggy towel if all he can manage the Sheikah Slate to do is the stuff we see in BotW.
Haha, I don't know if I would call him a tool, he definitely demonstrates a modicum of emotional intelligence. But he's definitely got the type of personality that when given a hammer, he sees everything as a nail. Guy just solves all his problems by smacking it with a sword. I still consider this the definitive text for explaining BotW Link's personality:Ha, I love the idea that Link was just kind of a tool, it wasn't that the resurrection shrine wiped his personality.

Breath of the Wild made a big deal via the flashbacks about how the slate "chose" Link. The implication was that he was destined to be the hero, and the player just understands "this is Link, of course it would choose Link". Given what is being discussed here and in the demo, I am now receptive to the theory that the slate chose Link because he was the one champion that wasn't going to break it within about five seconds of use. The Sheikah Slate is sentient, and it wants to stay that way for a long time. Goggle Robbie is not even an option.

oh god there's gonna be 900 of them again ...I was tooling around with the demo a bit more after I learned the level cap was 20, Gaer was watching;
Together we found a total of FIVE FUCKING KOROK SEEDS in the Battle for Hyrule Field
More interestingly, after initially writing off the 'A Feast of Greens' quest as not completable in the demo I started finding Mighty Thistle and Armoranth as random drops when cutting grass (annoying because Zelda's combo doesn't actually cut grass) so there's probably a source for Bladed Rhino Beetles as those are the three mats I didn't get as completion rewards doing demo stuff
