How do you eat your porridge?

I just got curious, and assume that I'm not the only one who finds this stuff to be really good breakfast.

I like it still soft. Chia seeds before adding the milk. Some cinnamon and a fruit. At the moment, I use pears, which taste very good with it. Bananas are nice, but I prefer it when the fruit has some juiciness to it. Elsewise, the whole thing feels a bit dry.

I eat oats as a hot cereal but I wouldn't call it quite porridge. But I boil it with some dried fruit and sometimes a bit of leftover candy, then have it with bananas.

I eat breakfast porridge every day, and add whatever berries I have on hand... but the mainstay is a mix of red, white, and blackcurrants.

I'm definitely on the oatmeal side of things rather than porridge, but steel cut programmed in the rice cooker the day before. When serving I just add whatever we have on hand that makes sense, bananas, dates, honey/maple syrup, jam, marmalade, etc.

Also overnight oats but I don't think that quite fits here. Usually banana or pumpkin for that. I dislike berries and most fruit, tried that berries in overnight oats a couple times recently to see if I liked them more after soaking overnight, nope, way too sweet and gross texture.

Oh and yeah chia seeds go in everything. So good.
