Mute the voice acting. Maybe put on subtitles. I had to do this for Borderlands 3 and I still didn't finish it.
While 2 is my favorite, the addition of the slide in Mega Man 3 really does make blueboy that much more fun to control. I don't understand why they took it out for 9 and 10.
But not Goofy?I got a big goofy smile on my face.
So far The Secret of Monkey Island is incredibly well written. It's amazing that goofy adventure games were the first to really nail that, while other genres, even RPGs, took some time to catch up.
So far my favorite part is The cannibals and LeChuck leaving passive-aggressive neighbor notes for each other all over the island.I only finished this game for the first time last year. It really holds up. All the stuff I laughed at when I was 12 was still funny at 35, which doesn't often happen with a video game! I still need to finish playing the sequel(s).
Keep an eye out for version 1.5 if you aren't already playing it on the PC. The new features are pretty incredibly broad and particularly treat the lategame wonderfully. Console versions should be updated within the month of February. It'll even have splitscreen cooperative play.Stardew Valley. Taking me a while to get used to the control, but seeing as I don't have to move quickly, its not a big deal. Its very charming so far and its nice to play just a chill game about growing stuff and making friends.
This might have just convinced me to play Subnautica, and I don't even mind boss runbacks.I'm realizing Subnautica is everything I love about Souls (immersive, dangerous exploration with a lot of lore expertly woven in) minus everything I hate (walking up the same fucking set of stairs 90 times to die on the same boss encounter). It might be my new favorite game, and I mean ever.
