Abigail was a pretty fun time. The cast is solid and I thought the plot had just enough twists and turns to keep it from being rote.

Alien Vs. Predator – I have not seen these ones, ever. I’m given to understand they aren’t great but maybe I’ll get some cheesy fun out of them.
I don't think the first AvP movie is awful but I would find it hard to call it great. It does give you exactly what it says it will and is quite enjoyable. I'm not really sure I'd call it cheesy though.

If you watched it then what cut would you be watching?

Which film should I watch tomorrow night?

Audition – I’ve basically had all the major plot points revealed to me about this one but I would still like to see this one.
Antlers – I remember this being a thing but I know nothing about it.
The Black Phone – People seemed to like this one.
The Last Voyage of the Demeter – The reviews seem to be lukewarm but “trapped on a boat with Dracula” is a killer premise.
Carnival of Souls – The only rewatch on my list. I remember it being somewhere between classic haunter and art film.
Attack of the Giant Leeches – OK, I *have* seen this as an MST3k episode. I love Tubi’s trash pile!

Tomorrow, what should I see?

The Babadook – Seen it before twice but man, I do like this movie a lot.
Appendage – No idea what this is about but it’s probably about an appendage.
The Craft – Some people say this one slaps. But I really can’t help you citation as to this claim.
The Crush – I think this is more of a thriller but Amazon Prime disagrees.
Confessional – No idea what this is.
Blood and Snow – Two great tastes that go great together!

Which should it be tomorrow?

Baba Yaga – A 1970s Italian film about a Russian witch? Yes please! Also, I guess it’s based on a comic and is erotic or something.
Beloved – Wait, is this a horror movie? I always assumed it was a biopic or something. Disney+ put it under “drama, horror”. Anyway, it’s nearly 3 hours but I’ll be able to make the time.
It’s What’s Inside – Don’t know anything about it except it just came out.
Sleepaway Camp – I used to enjoy this as a so bad it’s good movie but frankly I suspect the problematic aspects will taint the experience.
Dead & Buried – This is one I’ve been meaning to see for a long time. I guess it’s about a town where the populace can’t die or something?
Head of the Family – A horror movie based entirely around a pun. Also, the tagline is “Mess with the head and your dead.” So that’s… something.

I've never seen any of these but I do know of Sleepaway Camp. (Did you know that Bruce Springsteen's sister, Pamela, starred in two of the sequels?)

Dead & Buried
and
It’s What’s Inside
sound the most interesting to me based on what little I've read while trying to remain spoiler free.

If you make a movie about Baba Yaga and don’t at *least* have some momentary appearance of a chicken-legged hut you’re definitely doing something wrong.

The Bird With the Crystal Plumage – I went through a lot of giallo when I got Shudder but I was saving this one for the spooky season.

Books of Blood – I feel like this is a horror anthology no one talks about despite being a Clive Barker adaptation. Is it any good?

The Mist – I hear it’s good but also the twist ending was spoiled for me.

The Wicker Man – The on-purpose good one, not the on-accident fun one. (I have seen it before but I’m always down to watch it.)

Dog Soldiers – I remember liking this movie, loving the Descent and then being warned away from the director’s output afterward (the only one I saw was Doomsday. Didn’t care for it).

Grave Encounters – I heard of this movie when it came out but I don’t know if it’s actually good. The premise is what if one of those dudebro ghost shows turned real. Frankly, I feel like maybe Deadstream set too high a bar.

The Bird with the Crystal Plumage has the coolest title.

Also is the movie
Book of Blood
or
Books of Blood?

The Blob I never liked the movie as much as some but it’s OK and the theme song is great.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer – I never saw the whole original movie. I just saw bits and pieces from TV. Mostly I remember Paul Reubens dying in it.
Insidious – I’ll be honest, I haven’t seen most of the “adjective” horror movies save Malignant (which was awesome).
Death Becomes Her – A blind spot in my Zemekis watching. It’s easy to forget he sometimes did dark comedy stuff, like a few classic Tales from the Crypt episodes.
The Evil Dead – Man, a long time since I’ve seen this. II was always the superior film but I think the first one deserves a rewatch.
Bad Moon – I remember seeing this on video store shelves as a teen. By then I could sniff out direct-to-video dreck but for the memories, I am interested. If it helps, the lead from Streets of Fire is in this. But not as the same character.

I wanted to like Insidious more than I did. I have not seen Death Becomes Her but it sounds intriguing and the cast is great. However I have to vote for Buffy. Donald Sutherland plays the old mentor character and, well, he passed away this year, so.

I probably won't have time to watch a full length feature tomorrow so which short feature should I watch?

Hair Wolf – A horror short about a white woman at a black hair salon demanding dreads. As you might have guessed, she's also a literal monster.

Lonesome Ghosts – A classic Disney short

Frankenstein’s Monster’s Monster, Frankenstein – A short comedy with David Harbour playing himself making a Frankenstein movie.

The Amusement Park – I’ve seen this one. More a PSA but a creepy existential one. Definitely the longest on my list at an hour long.

When I was a wee lad I watched "An edited (and silent) version of the cartoon [that] was released as a cartridge for the Fisher-Price Movie Viewer, a small crank-operated toy."

It amused Torzelboy but I can't say how well it held up.

Which spookum should I watch tomorrow? Blood and Black Lace – Mario Bava’s classic giallo. I’ve seen it once before but I’d be happy to give it another look.
Clock – I guess it’s about a clock?
A Quiet Place – I’ve yet to see this one. I know there’s aliens who want you to shut up and Jim from the Office directed it.
Dark Angel: The Ascent – It’s about a crime fighting demon lady, I think. It’s from 1994 too so it’s probably very bad. But maybe fun bad?
Fulci For Fake – A documentary about Lucio Fulci. I’m not a fan of his films (OK, I kind of liked the weird one about the evil clock house) but they are fascinating, so this might be interesting to me.
The Wishmaster – OK, now I think I’ve hit the real Tubi shlock
