Hardcore Mecha, or Super Smash Robot Wars

I've been thinking about Hardcore Mecha again, now that it has the mission mode where you can unlock and upgrade tons of mechs by taking PVE jobs, and lo and behold, looks like they got their first crossover with a proper mecha anime, Gurren Lagann.

For those of you who aren't familiar yet, Hardcore Mecha is primarily a Smash-Bros-meets-Metal-Warriors-esque versus game where you pick from a set of of gorgeously animated mecha that resemble well-known mecha as closely as they can without being illegal or disrespectful. The developers cite wanting to play an action game that looks like Super Robot Wars as one of the motivations behind the game. It also has a complete single player campaign with pretty impressive 2D in-engine cutscenes. I can't speak much to the quality of the story because I mostly just play multiplayer and fly around in a Geier EVOL until I inevitably get dunked on by Definitely Not The Kampfer From War In The Pocket.
