Since it's Gunnerkrigg I give it a 50/50 chance that this creature is actually friendly and just wants tea or something. The introduction is so sinister it's almost overdone? But I dunno they're clearly in new territory with the wall being down.
I'd take even higher odds than 50/50 - at this point I will be genuinely surprised if the sinister-looking creature is actually sinister in any way. Especially with the "Aah!" at the end it's absolutely setting up an "Oh, you startled me!" "glubberglrbl (sorry)"
Well, apparently Kats been hard at work making fleshy robots less creepy looking. Nor has she discouraged making herself the central figure of a new religion

Well, that explains why Aata looked like that. I honestly should've seen that coming, it's not like Tom to just throw elements like that in there with no regard to their meaning or history.
Also I'm going to wait until the chapter/future chapters play out, but as a standalone page this one veers a little too far into Incredibles territory for me...

This whole Loup/Coyote undercover thing is such a well-done twist. I completely fell for the assumed idea that he was just a New Person with a crush.

Oh I do not like setting up a possible sexual assault scene just because a woman is talking openly about her body. Tom has swung things other ways before but this is extremely alarming.
Yeah, this left a bad taste in my mouth too. We'll see where he's taking it, but I really hope this wasn't just a setup to teach Loup a moral lesson.

Or worse, using it as a device to show the audience that Loup is a good guy because he rescued her.
And he also really doesn't need to be given any lessons about situations where it's okay to hurt people
Still seems to be heading in this direction, though we do get a suitably creepy looming shot of Loup/Jerrek.
