Haha, Kat inadvertantly broke the Omega device when she made those time-traveling birbs to save Annie. Get wrecked Court.

That is, IIRC, one of the properties of Coyote's shapeshifting powers: you don't just look like what you've become, you are that thing.

I also find it interesting that Loup is so un-like Loup when he's being Jerrec. He could just be a very good actor, being half trickster-god, I suppose. But it might also be that taking a form naturally influences his behavior. Didn't Coyote say once that he changed forms and, while he was changed, was so completely that form that he forgot he was Coyote?
Yep, when he became the goose.

So, we got more in the direction that I liked again, and than we get this line:

"I think I wouldn't let anyone tell me I can't have it!" - Jerrek

Considering we are doing a "hot for Annie" thing here, and that this creep is also kind-of Loup, that sounds really, really bad.

And maybe it's because I find Jerrek to be a horrible creep, but I just can't get into Annie having a crush on him. Which might happen, they are teens, but if I'm supposed to feel any kind of sympathy for this guy, it didn't work. I hope something comes out of this that isn't awful, but I'm still very uncomfortable with everything that is this guy.

Also, this is maybe the third time I complained about him, so I guess I should leave it at that. And just think of the time Coyote became a goose. That was fun.

Oh, the other direction definitely. But then I buy it even less, that she likes this guy already so much, so that she talks with him about stuff like that. Dunno, it works even less as a friendship for me. Her having a crush makes it at least somewhat make sense, to me.

Now I'm wondering if Lana (or, at least, this Lana) might be Coyote somehow. I can easily imagine the next comic ending on a panel where Lana's face turns into Coyote's mid-laugh, but maybe I still just want Coyote back because Loup sucks.

Honestly, just the kind of development that always keeps me reading through the ??? and ... spots of the comic.

Huh, I guess Lana is really into half-wolf demigods mascarading as robutts. A very very specific interest that she was lucky enough to stumble into. Good for her!

On the one hand, we won't get any answers for a bit since we're now between books, but on the other hand hopefully this means the return of City Face!

Also that's a neat mural. I'm not sure who the character is in the shattered frame? (oh wait, it's Tony, duh) Also, seemingly every important character is present, but I don't see Robot?
