Gunnerkrigg status: Still rad!

I dunno. You know how when an alien invader showed up on the bridge, they'd have Worf fight him and get his butt kicked to show how strong the alien was? That's the vibe I'm getting here.

I just don't think you spend two weeks telling the backstory of how this character has sacrificed everything in pursuit of power unless she's about to show some serious fireworks.

Yeah, but I also didn't really expect the comic to just off Omega almost directly after first establishing her character either!

NGL, it would be really funny if Parley just clocked Noa and that was that.

You do not remind the audience a protagonist has a dragon waiting in the wings and then just, like, let the dragon go out for pizza or something.

It could really go any way here. The opening salvo of a big fight? Kat using techno-god-powers to nip a conflict in the bud? Angrygirl just kinda self-imploding? Gunnerkrigg Court is and does a lot of things. But most of all I feel like they like to keep readers on their toes with hard to predict outcomes, so ya. Very much a wait and see situation right now IMO

But, but, what if it's brick oven pizza with hand torn Italian sausage and red onions, with sprinkle of red pepper flake?

Far be it from me to tell Parley how to fight, but coming in with a knee from long distance is way less advantageous in a fight vs coming in with a heel.
That's a really cool panel btw

Ask boxers about the difference just an inch of extra reach makes in a fight. To say nothing about how much more durable your heel is for strikes vs your kneecaps.

Edit: I wanna be clear this is just an amusing nitpick I’m not serious about. Very much looking forward to seeing how this fight evolves. Facetanking Annie’s Dragon Slave attack and Parley’s knee is like dayymmnnn

And I meant between you and telling Parley how to fight

No.

That was Shanoa style.

So we either have an incoming "and there's not a scratch on her!" or Parley just killed a person (complimentary).
