The NFLPA fired the "unaffiliated" neurotrauma consultant. Hard to see that in any way but cynically. The only accountability here is with someone "unaffiliated" but this consultant was far from the only person who looked over Tua and could/should have said no at any point along the four day process between his first and second concussions. If this guy lost his job over this, literally everyone involved should lose theirs as well. But the NFL doesn't care because they're not given financial reasons to care.
