FFV Four Job Fiesta 2026: NED's Declassified Void Survival Guide

Omega is down!

After a few attempts where I just couldn't outpace Wave Cannon because Omega is so fast, I realized that I can, with a lot of luck, get my whole party under Haste without giving up Reflect Rings by using the Masamune on Omega repeatedly. After many false starts and a few attempts that were going well until Omega's double turn ruined me (Maelstrom would always mean a reset, and Wave Cannon almost always), I had a run that worked out to where Samurai Butz could revive Berserker Faris right before Beastmaster Lenna and Black Mage Krile's turns, so that Lenna could get a reflected Thundaga off without killing Faris, allowing Krile to get one off as well, and the three non-Berserkers would still be able to Elixir themselves in time after the next Wave Cannon. A couple of reps of that took out the last third or so of Omega's HP, so I only had to get lucky with two of its double turns. As an added bonus, the first time I revived Faris was right after Lenna and Krile had released their Great Dragons after Search - she got up, smacked Omega with the Rune Axe for 3500, and it Mustard Bombed itself for another 1500. It must have taken dozens of resets before everything came together just right like that.

Whew! That was intense, but it was a lot of fun. FFV is so good.

Thank you! And thanks again for your advice on this fight, I never knew about partially reflected spells bypassing counters, or that Great Dragons were so good to catch.

answering the question about world 3, i usually do not do any more of world 3 than I need to to feel like I can win the game.
this time I will definitely do fork tower because i can use the magic. I don't fight any summons since I don't have a summoner. Since I usually can't use most of the weapons, I don't bother with the later dungeons much either.

Oh, right! I forgot to answer.

I usually do only enough of world 3 that I need to do, but that's more than just the obvious answers:
- Tablets: I usually only need one set of weapons; I can't really imagine a party that would need two, and half the weapons aren't worth using even if you can.
- Great Pyramid: "turtle isn't this required" Yes, but like half of it isn't. And unless I have a Chemist who wants those Dark Matters, I try to stay here as little as possible.
- Phoenix Tower: 75000 free gil and easily-stolen Reflect Rings? Sign me up.
- Island Shrine: There isn't really anything here, but it's a prerequisite for...
- Fork Tower: Even if I don't need Holy or Flare, the Wonder Wand is usually important for Shinryu depending on party.
- Great Sea Trench: There's not much here, really, so I usually only come when I have Bard for easy Requiem kills and exp.
- Istory Falls: There's a handful of good things in here. An Enhancer as the best non-knight sword, a Titan Axe for a Berserker... I don't always come here, but sometimes it's nice.
