The final battle is over and the winner, to no one's surprise, is...
Mothra! This queen of the monsters (no, she is not in a relationship with Godzilla outside of "frenemies") managed to take a loss but defeated Hawkgirl who took no losses until the end (though took 2 draws).
I want to thank everyone for participating! I still love this old-school nerdy stuff. Recently, James Gunn was discussing being very antipathetic to the idea of comparing characters in "who would win" and I definitely get it from his perspective, especially he was seeing it boiled down to power. But I love these because I also like to see how personality, psychology and other factors would play into a conflict and in knowing when two characters would meet and not turn it into a physical conflict, what sort of exchange would it be and what sort of exchange would make me view one as the "winner". Sometimes it's mutually beneficial and I wonder who either seems like the dominant of the two or who gets the most out of it.
Anyway, we had fun, I hope and I want to thank everyone who contributed!
