Elemental Who Would Win!

Olli

I'm going to say Toph can manage to use earthbending to ground the leviathan.

Mothra smashed the puny god, though

I feel like even ib land the Leviathan would win. Not by intent, it would just keep thrashing around and it would be too much for Toph.

Mothra is just too much for Pazuzu

Gonna go against the tide on these I think.

Obviously if the fight against the Leviathan was in the open ocean, Toph would be completely screwed, but that hardly seems fair, so let’s assume we’re in shallow enough water that she can access bedrock. Sound travels great underwater and the opponent is, as everyone’s stating, freakin enormous, so she’ll have no trouble sensing it from a mile away and she’ll know roughly what she’s in for. Toph has been known to move some pretty huge amounts of rock herself under pressure and this is a great time to pull out all the stops. Just turtling behind walls seems like a risky strategy against such a large foe, so I think Toph immediately goes on the offensive, raising a huge pillar directly under the beast as it charges and flinging it out of the water. If she can throw it onto land great, but even if not I think a few rounds of being smacked around like that could put an angry beast into retreat.

As for the other match, I think it’s also closer than people are saying. Yes, Mothra enormous, but Pazuzu is an actual god and scale tends to be a fuzzy quantity for that sort of being. If we were thinking of Mothra as just a colossal angry bug I think I’d give it to Pazuzu on wits, BUT it seems like Mothra also has some mystical qualities that I’m not super familiar with, so… I dunno gonna call it a tie for me.

Hmm... sciencing this out some, this moment here is the best study I can find for what the upper limit is on how much stone Toph can handle at once. Eyeballing it, this tower looks like it's about 14 Toph's tall, and she's what, about 1 meter tall? Meter and a third? A ghost leviathan is 107 meters long, and are all about headbutting each other/large rock formations/50+ meter long titanium submarines. She could probably mess one up a good bit in like an undersea tunnel or maybe with with a punji stick sort of approach, but by the lore of both sources, tossing one out of the water simply is not happening.

And... Mothra is absolutely a goddess. Probably less distinguished as such since Pazuzu at one point did very much have actual real world worshippers whereas Mothra is a firmly fictional being (or, set of beings) worshipped by... well mainly those two tiny ladies and anyone else on their island home, but if we're operating on only a god can harm a god logic I think her credentials check out.

Hmm, if I'm remembering right that tower she's struggling with in the clip you linked is actually the top parapet of an absolutely *massive* stone building housing a library of all the world's knowledge that's already mostly sunk under the sand, so the 14 meters you see above the surface isn't a super relevant measure. Still, it's probably true that we haven't actually seen her toss around anything quite at the Leviathan's scale, so it'd be a challenge for sure. Chucking its mass directly upward might be too tall an order, but stone ramps redirecting the energy of its own charge might get her somewhere. I'm standing by my vote, but I won't be mad when she loses; it'd take a massive effort and good bit of luck to pull out a win here.

One way I could see things going differently is that Mothra and Pazuzua might clash at first but they eventually realize that they share some of the same goals and what not. Then they team up and fight crime together.

Invisible Woman Vs. Hawkgirl

Finally what the internet was designed for; who is the stronger superhero arguments!

Koromaru Vs. Calcifer

Calcifer is getting a second chance… but can he succeed against the goodest of boys?

Olli

(he/him)
I'm guessing the nth metal mace will win over Sue's force field and invisibility; nth metal has energy manipulation, reality altering and time travel powers and shit. Even a surprise attack from Sue is probably not going to cut it as nth metal can more or less bring the wielder back from dust. I'm citing secondary sources here, though, so anyone in the know can feel free to correct me. Hawkgirl

Calcifer
seems like the winner for the second match, as he does have some decent magical powers (he's the one that moves Howl's castle) and I can't see an obvious way a dog could put out a fire. Maybe by carrying a big bucket of water, but that sounds cumbersome and would leave him open to attack.

Hawkgirl and Koromaru. Koromaru is immune to fire, and also casts dark, poison or instakill depending on your build and has a knife and can do a sweet flip.

The doggo is immune to fire? Well then, that ruins pretty much all of Calcifer's offensive options. Koromaru

As for the other match, I am also gonna assume that silly mace beats forcefields. Hawkgirl

I know next to nothing about Hawkgirl really but y’all are making this mace just sound like an instant win button for almost anything which hardly seems sporting. Just to be contrary I’m gonna say maybe Sue could use invisibility to get in a first strike separating her from the mace and then use her force fields to wrap things up quick.

On the other match it’s hard to argue with immunity to fire vs a fire, so Koromaru it is.

I'll abstain on this one. I'm still not sure what offensive capabilities Sue has, but if she can beat Aang, I really suspect she can beat Hawkgirl, who has no way to sense her.

The first matchup here requires some thought. The second is an easy win for Calcifer because if we are allowing the regular dog to use a persona summoning device we have to let the fire demon use the moving castle.

So anyway, my main source of knowledge on Hawk Girl comes from the Justice League cartoon, where she plays a vital role in a paper rock scissors dynamic where Superman is Big Strong Overpowered Boy with the best stats, but has a vulnerability to magic, so here's Hawk Girl with her big anti-magic mace who is really good at solving that specific problem, but is otherwise outclassed by Superman. If we look at the fight through that lens, Sue is clearly much closer to Some Magic Jerk With Force Fields And Whatnot than Superman, so, clear win for Hawk Girl.

My knowledge of the Fantastic Four mostly comes from... people joking around about the screwed up relationship dynamics, and my understanding is her deal is: I go invisible. I can make force fields. I get these hotheads around me to calm down and act like adults sometimes. Hawk Girl is a bit of a hothead who needs telling to settle down now and then.

Based on that, I dunno, it's kind of a toss-up?

But also! Hawk Girl has this on-again-off-again thing going on with Green Lantern and he's always doing force field stuff and whatnot. So I figure the tiebreaker here is she makes an offhanded comment about how her ex used to do whatever Sue's doing while they were fooling around and that breaks her composure long enough to get an easy hit in.

Johnny Unusual

(He/Him)
Hawkgirl has high striking power and could definitely penetrate those force fields but the Invisible Woman knows how to place her shields in ways that can take advantage of the fact that Hawkgirl both still needs to find her and swing her mace.

By generating additional force behind her psionic constructs, Sue can turn them into offensive weapons, ranging from massive invisible battering rams to small projectiles such as spheres and darts. By forming one of her force fields within an object and expanding the field, Sue can cause her target to explode. She can also travel atop her animated constructs, enabling her to simulate a limited approximation of levitation or flight.
Now Sue is not going to make someone explode from the inside but she could invisibly hurl objects at Hawkgirl and throw her off by not being in the place where her small forcefield weapons where coming from. A tricky battle for both with Hawkgirl's maneuverability but I give the win to Sue.

I feel like from descriptions, Calcifer really needs to be pushed to be aggressive and kind of shrinks from conflict so this feels like a Koromaru win.

Hawkgirl crashes through the Invisible Woman. Koromaru has bite and bark. Invisible Woman is eliminated.

Hawkgirl Vs. Koromaru

Superhero v. doggo: Dawn of Walkies!

Olli

(he/him)
I don't think Ghost Leviathan can do anything to Mothra. Mothra, in addition to flying and being sentient enough to do something creative, can shoot laser beams and poison stingers.

Hawkgirl wins over doggo easily (and gently) by lifting and placing him out of bounds

Once again if it weren’t for that whole “magic doesn’t work” gimmick, the doggo would have a fighting chance, but here we are.
