E3 2021: Virtual Insanity
Not a big or especially shocking prediction, but I’m hoping We get confirmation of Switch ports for Pyre and Pixeljunk Shooter
Which is a pretty long time for Nintendo to go without even showing gameplay.
We’ve gone longer, seeing even less, from Metroid Prime 4.
Im not exactly concerned that Nintendo is trying to quietly erase a sequel to one of its biggest hits of the last decade, and I’m also not expecting it to be just Yet More BotW

Is it any different from the original Breath of the Wild?
They first revealed how it looked at E3 2014 and it was playable at E3 2016. Breath of the Wild 2 was shown at E3 2019, so that's where we're at.

Gameplay was shown at the Game Awards in 2014
And I'm pretty certain there was a later trailer for the first of its two delays though I can't find it. So yeah, it's noticeably different.
And we know they restarted development from scratch so it's not a normal indicator of Nintendo's process.
I don't think I agree that BotW 2 will not exist in a recognizable form but it's been too long for it to be a quick sequel.

Also announced some cool looking stuff. Phantom Abyss is the first person Indiana Jones-'em-up I didn't know I wanted.
And because I'm part of the problem, yeah, I ordered Demon Throttle.
Trek to Yomi is a 2.5D thing looking for the Kurosawa style. Could be cool.

Trek to Yomi seems like it might be difficult to play with its chosen aesthetic, so I'm interested to see how it shakes out.
Inscryption was a highlight for me, The Hex ended up going in an interesting direction, and based on what we see in the trailer it seems like maybe there's more to this than "a deck-based game with horror elements" (not that that doesn't sound like an absolute bop in and of itself)
There were a couple of cute moments in the Wholesome Games Direct, but it seems like most of what caught my eye had already been announced a long time ago - KeyWe (It Takes Two, except as Kiwi Postal Workers), Toodee and Topdee (puzzle game where you shift between a side scrolling and top down views). I'm also cautiously interested in Lake, but since it was in the Wholesome Games category, this small town in the Pacific Northwest probably doesn't have spooky skeletons in the closet.
Tomorrow's a big day right? Xbox and Square Enix are doing their presentations. Monday's lineup looks pretty dire though yikes. I guess Capcom has a showcase, but other than that....

square enix's has been absolutely dire so far
I'm interested in Mass Effect Guardians of the Galaxy, and am interested in the FF1-6 emasters, assuming literally anything was shown or they were confirmed for a platform with buttons
Both MS and SE's things were massive levels of sleep. I lowered my expectations for the SE show and was still somehow disappointed.
