Tengo Project do not rest. We're now five games into their staggeringly high-quality remake series of the Natsume back catalogue, this time casting the spotlight on 1990's Forgotten Worlds-like Final Mission, perhaps more known by its unfortunate localization as S.C.A.T.: Special Cybernetic Attack Team--regardless, that history is not ignored as the remake's title combines the two previous names. As with Shadow of the Ninja Reborn before it, the task falls on the developer to reimagine a Famicom game with extensive embellishments that befit Tengo's lush house style, so even on a baseline visual level it's an entirely fresh work. The more obscure the source material gets with these projects, the more delightful the commitment to the craft present in each and every one of them.
