Pretty sure even Falselogic would balk at this one...

My gut instinct was to demand that be hidden under a spoilerpop because ewwnasty I don't wanna look at that. But in this thread it's fair game probably. 😂

Hey, don't knock it, this is the work that gets Clark Griswold a "Jelly Of The Month Club" subscription for Christmas.

Hadn't read this thread in a while, that Dew Ramen at the top of the page is some serious dedication to a schtick.
Also I've narrowly avoided the freezer beer-splosion myself once or twice. Sometimes you want it chilled fast!

The worst part of that isn't the food, it's that their little love nest is right up against a bare brick wall. That looks like a recipe for someone ending up with a concussion.

Yep, no better menu for your key party than gingerbread men, corn and olives, hummus, chili, a giant bowl of cauliflower and the world's biggest croissant.

Y’all clownin on them but I just see some people living their best life. I would kill to have that energy. Just like, cuddled up with my bae and my cat in front of a table of my favorite foods. This is some aspirational, relationship-goals post to me.

I like this perspective. So what's the 2020 look/food update for this one? Here are my nominations:

Weighted blanket/Snuggie instead of bearskin
Bamboo flooring instead of yellow shag
The gingerbread men are gluten free
Something on that tray used Impossible/Beyond meat

The gingerbread men are gluten free
If so then those are some giant puffy gingerbread men. Are we sure they're made of gingerbread? Because I could easily see people in the 70s making food men out of something other than gingerbread.

Yep, you quoted the part where I'm theorizing the 2020 version. Actually, was gluten-free stuff a thing in the 70s? I could see it being a health-food thing back then. But it was also too early to understand the immunology of celiac disease which I feel was the big push for gluten-free stuff.

I too lovingly cuddle with my food before consuming it.

My vote was to replace the gingerbread men with artisanal cupcakes or macaroons. Preferably red velvet.

Also, the cauliflower would now be processed into a dish as a gluten-replacement like a pizza crust.

Oh hell yes cauliflower crust anything, good call.
