ASS OUT, IN-SERT - Ring Fit Adventure

My character is horribly overleveled but thats not the point of me playing this whicch is why I still have the level 1 overhead press, squats and chair pose on my list still. You still need to exert yourself to win battles.

Also when you're overleleveled you can wear the clothes that look good than the clothes with the stats you need. I cycle between the Pink flamingo (second set of faster speed, weaker than the newer set I got) and Game Machine (+5% exp).

Also I don't really try to mimic Tip when he is doing the examples because honestly not everyone can follow along with him (how can he do leg over leg so quickly?!). I use him as a visual guide on how to do exercises properly rather than a pace setter.

Haha, this has been a thing my spouse and I have discovered while playing the game side-by-side: He's trying to win as efficiently as possible while I make a point of hitting the exercises that I feel I need to do that day. But I'm also very aware of what my body needs after all the physical therapy stuff I've had to do over the years so if I want to do an inefficient exercise I'm doing it.

Also I discovered he's a smoothie hoarder, he has a ton of every single one and it baffles me.

I also change out exercises a lot. Definitely daily, occasionally multiple times a session.

If anyone wants to be my switch friend to receive my multitask mode reps, let me know!
Just saw this now, I'll PM you my friend code. I need to remember to do multitask mode more.

Weird discovery we made: If you do reps in the offline mode, it's stored in the Ringcon, not the Joycon. We have two Switches and one copy of Ring Fit and accidentally redeemed the other person's reps.

Anyway, we've started doing workouts side-by-side since one person was often just hanging out until the other finished their workout session. We've been alternating whose game we play on. It's fun and I use a physical therapy band as a Ringcon stand-in.
With the weather preventing running outside due to ice everywhere we've been doing this constantly, we ended up buying a Pilates ring so the second person can do the arm exercises.

Even when you haven't played Ringfit (as often) for months, you realized you played the game for too long when you find yourself the owner of an Ovalcon.

I'd post a picture but the damage is minor ... it is mostly noticeable when flying slash ab guard.

Also don't forget to flex your Ovalcon

I'm surprised it hasn't happened for me yet.

Today is the day my four year old niece is doing another session. She's super-excited (she mostly does simple stuff like running and hip shakes) and she's improving a lot (running in place is hard for her but now she can do that and squeeze air shots with relative ease.

My husband beat this last week, I'm proud of him. It's been so good to have this during quarantine. Playing together has been really nice.

On another note it took us waaaaay too long to realize you could run and squeeze the ring during the credits to bring the music back. I kept thinking that it was odd to let the player cool down so much to a chill piano version of the music.

Got this the other day. Love exercise, have never tried a gamified exercise tool like this before. Keeping up a consistent routine is a challenge the best of times, and it's distinctly not the best of times right now, so I felt like taking a chance on this. Based on getting settled with the basics and completing the first world and Dragaux encounter... this might end up being among the most fulfilling video games I've played, because it gives me the structure I need in ridiculous video game brain language to maintain a level of bodily upkeep I want to reach but otherwise tend to drift away from when left to my own devices. I'm very excited to make it a part of my day from now on.

Yay! It's great. Also don't forget the offline ring squeeze rep mode and that you can build a routine of exercises for days where a full level may just be too much.

Full level isn't really a problem since, after you get a certain skill, you can avoid the level encounters (unless they're required). It is doing gauntlets or bosses that will take the most out of your time (and also allot you the most exp, especially when you double plus 5% the outtake). This is the reason I don't do these lengthy fights in 1 sitting anymore (they usually take halfvhour of pressing which is 1 real time hours sometimes) and do two or three turns whenever I need to rest between push-ups or weighted squats. Otherwise I put the battle to sleep until I go back at it next time.

Oh I meant too much effort, not time. For me it's a lot of the long arm holds and running in place in the levels that irritates old injuries, so if I'm tired and think I might not have good form I do the non-adventure mode with exercises that are a bit easier for me.

For bosses I allow myself to use smoothies so they don't last that much longer than a normal one, but I like your idea of pausing it if needed. I'd need to do the warm up stretches on my own but that wouldn't be hard.

I took up running a while back, so I haven’t used Ring Fit for a while. Yesterday my kids were asking for Daddy Exercise, so I gave it another shot. Squats seemed unusually easy, so I figured the running must have strengthened my legs and did lots of them. Today I’m having to use my arms to lower myself into chairs.

Coincidentally, I also played yesterday for the first time in a couple of months. This game sure loves some squats.

Squats are arguably the exercise that everyone should be doing every day since they hit so many parts of the body and aid in balance and stuff. As much as I complain about them I'm glad the game didn't skip on them.

Been coming back to this as part of my recovery. It's nice! My spouse has been keeping it up and has unlocked what is essentially "all the exercises count for the same" mode which is a neat NG+ perk.

Wasn't feeling RingFit but wanted to do some stretching so hooked the WiiU back up and did my old saved routine in Wii Fit U. Said it had been 608 days since my last use, which is less than I expected as I thought this overlapped with Ring Fit more than that, but I must have switched over more completely than I remembered.

Anyway, it felt really good! I'd forgotten I used to do this little 12 minute routine I set up every morning, I'm going to keep this up:

Sun Salutation
Torso Twists
Bridge
Single-Leg Twist
Downward-Facing Dog
Sideways Leg Lift
(Tricep Extension, but that requires putting batteries in a Wiimote for just one exercise, I'll do that on my own with a water bottle now)
Spinal Twist

Also I still don't get the title of this thread despite playing Ring Fit for years.
