Animal Crossing General: New Horizons in our New Horizon!

I really hope a major update comes to New Horizons. Maybe one that can add more new rooms to my house, or some DIY projects that will let me put my hundreds of sticks, tons of clay, and dozens of tires and boots to good use.
Personally I would just be happy to have a way to get everybody in Photopia without having to buy hundreds of Amiibo cards* and hoarding the few Amiibo-less villagers that exist in my own town.
I mean, Audie and Raymond are never going anywhere as long as I have a say in it, but I'd like to have Judy and Megan for shoots without them taking up spots that could go to other snootys and normals I'd love to have.
Also an unlocked camera, holdable props**, that "Avatar Poof Away" feature from the wedding event, the daily faffing about emotes (i.e. yoga, singing, sitting) and an option to completely remove villager-exclusive accessories (i.e. Audie's sunglasses, Rod's bandanna, June's flower) instead of substituting something else would be nice as well.
*I know there are ways to get around this but they still involve managing a pile of stuff. I'd love to summon all the animals and event characters from the list like I can the ten friends living in my town.
** Also pleasepleaseplease make things like the the baskets, food & drinks, and books into actual holdable items too. Much like Pocket Camp with its awesome amenities I can never enjoy myself, I envy how much more expressive my friends are.

Yeah, I'm jealous of the props, too. And that they can decorate the exterior of their houses in ways that I can't. I was so disappointed when I had everything opened up, but couldn't replicate the log cabin look on mine.
As I'm playing now, other stuff I'd like:
- New Nook Shopping offerings
- Do something with Nook's Cranny. Never any new stuff in the cabinet.
- Maybe someone who pays a premium for fossils?
- New Nook Miles offerings. I have a ton, and little there appeals to me.
- More durable tools. While fun and different initially, crafting so often has become a nuisance.
- Something to do with all the redundant DIY cards you get, even just being able to store them or give them to villagers.
- NEW DIALOGUE. Hearing people say the same things often is bad enough, but it's even worse when they repeat each other in the same day. CALL YOUR PARENTS ALREADY!!!

I really wish the game had Nintendo-themed items, such as those we got from the fortune cookies in New Leaf. I miss that stuff. Really hoping they do something along those lines again.
I'm not getting my hopes up, but maybe we'll at least see some of the Mario swag return for Super Mario Bros.'s 35th anniversary next month. I do miss that bulbous Mario nose.
And if not New Horizons, maybe Pocket Camp will do something for it? The game skipped Mar10 Day this year, but maybe it's got something planned for the big 3-5.

It's kind of strange... maybe it's just a matter of change since the last game, but I honestly don't miss them that much.
Huh, Pocket Camp released the new villagers early this time. For anybody who cares, here's who got in with the Ruby & Friends update:
Honestly, I'm pretty ecstatic about this load of new campers. Ruby may have been the only Adventure-er (albeit a former one) to join this time, but I'm familiar with a good number of these friends from fellow TTer's islands. Huck and Buzz are practically family from all the times I've been to Youtopia and Escape, and I'm particularly thrilled by Felicity and Dora getting in. Also this is a bigger load than usual.
Only thing I don't like is that this has been the third camper update in a row without a single sisterly villager in it.

In other news I blew threw 20+ NMT looking for a Peppy Villager and then gave up. I'll let the RNG Gods decide who I get.

Oh hey this reminds me: I'm down to needing just a marlin, mitten crab, monarch, and a whole mess of ants (6) and black (4)/sea bass(3) models for my chess set to be complete.
