How do you get the yule log?
You should've gotten one free from Nintendo back when you installed the winter update. If you missed it, you can order one via Nook Shopping on random days and then order it whenever once you got it catalogued.
If you just want the variations, it is a customizable item.

One of my villagers gave me red wrapping paper when I didn't have any wrapped gifts to exchange which is nice.
If you can drop by Adventure before 10PM EST you can buy it in bulk here today. Or if you want I can mail you a 9-pak or two.
I haven't played but once this month, so I have shopping to do, and I haven't gotten a seasonal or celestial recipe since August D: If anyone has any extra laying around... I might need to buy some toys et al toooo...

Thanks! Turns out it was for sale in my Nooks today too so I'm set. Playing early today to leave time for family Zoom calls and such.

You had to exchange gifts after giving out all the ones that Jingle gave you to hand out. The wrapping paper color shouldn't have mattered as long as they're wrapped at all. You can get a few from some besties for the Jingle stuff you handed out (Judy, Rooney, and Audie all gave me things) but the real spoils come from the exchange after doing all your work for Jingle.
That said, it's just variations of the toys not available on your isle.
You're right-- my mind blanked there, it was the Jingle stuff that only a few of them gave me stuff on. I don't know how I got that mixed up.

In previous games, yes. You'd get them for various milestones and/or events. No idea for this game but I would assume more are coming.

Huh. Sarcasmorator had the pointys too but he had pink and green in place of the blue and orange.

I think you and I are still in the tutorial phase of Animal Crossing: New Horizons, since my Resident Services building just opened today as well, and there was no New Years event going on for me, either. We're probably not going to be able to participate in holiday events for a few more days, I imagine, at least on our own islands.
