Oh my gosh I want that ice bar.
This helped me get one perfect snowman but I just haven't been able to do it again which is frustrating. I wonder if different eye types don't align quite right.

This helped me get one perfect snowman but I just haven't been able to do it again which is frustrating. I wonder if different eye types don't align quite right.
Another method you can use is to make a 10x2 path of pavement, roll up two snowballs to max size and put them on either end (without putting them on the path), then roll one across the path into the second one on the other side.
As for the eyes/ears method, I just rolled one ball up to max size then got another up near the bottom of my avatar's ears and it worked for me.

I'm finding it isn't terribly picky. It seems to want a ball about as tall as your torso, and then one about 2/3rds the size or so. If you're desperate and getting nowhere then just hard-kill the game and reload to try again.

Merengue is moving out today! I'm not 100% clear how this works but I think since she's in boxes if you have an open plot she'll move to your town?

I actually missed saying goodbye to her AND didn't have time to tour islands to pick a new villager! Moose is fine but wish the timing had been better as I probably could have found someone cooler.
Really thankful that this game came out earlier this year when I had so much more required working from home time and could play more. It's hard to keep up with it now but that's kind of nice timing after how many hours I've put into it since I've done a lot of the big accomplishments.
Every snowboy I've made has been from the side.You can roll back and forth and then roll it toward the base ball once you've almost got the head big enough.
Snowballs showed up today. Got my beetle and made my first Snow person. Wasn't perfect though. Guess I got time to practice...
I made a second snowboy earlier, but the head wound up being as big as the body. For some reason, what was at the time the smaller ball just wouldn't go on top of the larger one.

Thankfully shaking the trees for ornaments seems to have higher yields than the stupid acorns and pine cones. I got four ornaments in a couple minutes this morning while I think I had maybe 6 fall items combined over the entire season.
You can get like 8 ornaments per tree, too. It only takes a couple of minutes for each tree.
You can get as many ornaments as you want from one tree. There's a hard limit of 14 that can be dropped around it (two in the front center when shaken from whatever side, six on either side depending on which side you shake it from), but after you pick up those you can get right back to shaking.
Also the decorated pine trees only drop ornaments, so it's much easier to get what you're looking for than with the acorns and pine cones where you'd also have to deal with a bunch of sticks.

I'm finding spawn rates for Christmas (Toy Day, but you know) recipes distressingly low. I just want a tree or some fancy presents, dangit! All I've found is an ornament wreath and mobile.
I got some dupe recipes in Adventure if you wanna stop by and get 'em. I make a habit of keeping an eye on whichever side of the island the presents are flying in from.

Illuminated tree (2)
Ski-slope flooring
Ski-slope wall
Snowflake wall
Also I gots a couple of fall recipes and flower crap too.
And if you want any of the other stuff, I can craft everything from the festive set and (with a few frozen exceptions (for now)) all the other pre-Toy Day winter stuff. Just give me a list and bring by some ornaments and I'll do the rest.
