Yonder Google Doodle tells me that Fall has officially arrived. It's that time of year when the air turns crisp, the scent of pumpkin pie lattes wafts through the town, and Spirit Halloween wakes from its dusty slumber. And it's when Talking Time collectively gives Dracula his just deserts... literally! You see, old man Dracula loves to swoop down on unsuspecting village maids and give them the ol' two-fang. Too bad he can't bite down if his mouth is gobbed up with delicious treats and that's where you come in. From now till November 1st every Video Dracula defeated represents one more candy corn or laffy taff gumming up Dracula's piehole. Defeat 100 Draculas and he'll be chewing on so much candy no one need will fear walking the streets of Wallachia again.

What counts as a Dracula?
A Dracula is a Dracula. They can be identified by their high collars, batwing capes, and preference for free blood. They are also named Dracula. Remember, a Dracula who is not a Dracula does not count as a Dracula. Draculas include:
  • Dracula (Haunted Castle)
  • Dracula (Castlevania: The Adventure)
  • Dracula (Castlevania Judgement)
  • Dracula (Knife Hit, iOS)
  • Dracula (Talking Time, online)
Can't beat Dracula? No worries!
The world of Draculas that are not Draculas is vast and wide. Anything sufficiently Dracula-like that's not technically a Dracula is a Bonus-Dracula and is worth a whole 0.5 True Draculas! Bo'draculas include:
  • Father Gascoigne (Bloodborne)
  • Phalanx (Demon's Crest)
  • Married Vampire Couple (Illusion of Gaia)
Or whatever! Go nuts! The point of this holiday is to have fun with some spooky games. So grab a whip and some holy water, strap on your secret boots, and let's stuff Dracula so full of sugar he won't know what's what. Happy Castleween!!

I think when I ran this last year I allowed a clear of any bloodstained game as a Dracula Point just for being in the spirit of the thing. But I am not the Master of The Castle this year.

I doubt I'll defeat many BUT this year will be the first time I play Castlevania III, one that is very beloved, so I'm looking forward to it. I'm gonna wait until the month called Halloween to start.
