AestheticallyPleasingAnimalsDome - survival of the fairest

We have entered the semi-finals. There will be one match per day now until the end of the dome. Here's the bracket.

Match #41 / 1st semi-final.
We have a snowy bird against a sandy fox as Violentvixen's shima enaga faces off with Kirin's fennec fox.

Trivia:
Fennec foxes have feet with hairy soles to protect them from hot sand.

Shima Enaga feed on small insects, spiders and larvae. When food is scarce in winter they adapt by consuming seeds and small berries.

Now, this is a tough one. I'll go with bird, but they're both good doggos.

Trivia:
In their native habitats, chinchillas live in burrows or crevices in rocks. They are agile jumpers and can jump up to 6 feet (1.8 meters) high.

Quokkas store fat in their tails as a means of surviving when food supplies are low, and they can also go months without water.
