A thread for celebrating the destruction of music

Fixing Wonderwall with the power of computers

It's kind of amazing it took this long, really. If any song needed an overhaul... I mean, the more you think about it, the more you realize that by now you should've somehow realized what you gotta do

It's quite a ride. Quality has its ups and downs, but it's generally a lot of very wholesome nerdy gaming-related content, with silly musical interludes here and there. And it is probably largely responsible for the current public perception of Waluigi.

DID YOU KNOW? Prog was invented when European blues artists attempted to inject uncommon time signatures into their music to get their audiences to stop clapping on one and three. Also, I have never really appreciated just how much of a motherfucker Connick Jr. is on piano.

I probably put this in the sidebar at one point but more people need to see this because jesus christ

Someone put the entire score of the Komar and Melamid / Dave Soldier collaboration, The Most Unwanted Song, on youtube.

If you want a little more background on this there's a good video by 12 tone about it:

Rosewood

The metal babble flees!

I appreciated the explainer even though I couldn't sit through more than a couple sections of the song.

Kirin

Summon for hire

Okay so yeah, a lot of it is hard to get through, but the running gag of the children's chorus of increasingly inappropriate Walmart holiday jingles is fucking hilarious.

Also I kinda like accordion and bagpipes.

I mean, it's not a good song. But there's a few fun bits.

To quote the 12 Tone video, "not quite serious but not quite joking" is the exact category I want all my creative works to slot into. (This includes posting, obviously)
