Oh, I've done worse things than-- I mean, yes.

5) What is your gentleman/woman/person thief name?
Orange Cat.

1) What is your favourite Michael Crichton novel?
I'm pretty sure I've read more than one, but they seem to have been somewhat bland in execution despite some neat ideas.
2) When is the last time you've worn a mask?
A few days ago, when potting plants.
3) Which of your five senses do you most value?
Sight probably, but I'm sure losing touch might actually be worse.
4) Have you ever thrown a controller?
Maybe at a sofa cushion; not at a wall or anything.
5) What is your gentleman/woman/person thief name?
The Shadow With No Name

5) What is your gentleman/woman/person thief name?
1) I've only read Jurassic Park so that.
2) I made a makeshift mask when I was sick and I had to help my dad, who has mobility issues and needs help sometime. A "real" mask? A Silver Age Batman mask a few years ago.
3) Hearing, I think.
4) I don't think so but I certainly have thrown fits at games sometimes.
5) The Popinjay Cavalier

1) Which is your favourite Britney Spears song?
2) Do you still have any Christmas decorations up?
3) When's the last time you made a snowman?
4) Do you know any martial arts?
5) Which movie star would you like to be in a buddy comedy with?

1) Which is your favourite Britney Spears song?

Hit Me Baby One More Time, in no small part due to that being the only one I still remember.

2) Do you still have any Christmas decorations up?

Teeeeeeeeeechnically? It's a couple we never really put away, though. Otherwise, no.

3) When's the last time you made a snowman?

A lifetime ago.

4) Do you know any martial arts?

Eh. I've been shown stuff, but not professionally.

5) Which movie star would you like to be in a buddy comedy with?

Robert Downey Jr.

1) Which is your favourite Britney Spears song?
Work Bitch
2) Do you still have any Christmas decorations up?
Nope
3) When's the last time you made a snowman?
I made a small one (basically three snowballs stacked on top of each other) a few years ago
4) Do you know any martial arts?
I used to do kendo, so a little bit of that. Most of it is well forgotten by now, though.
5) Which movie star would you like to be in a buddy comedy with?
Zendaya

2) Do you still have any Christmas decorations up?
3) When's the last time you made a snowman?

1) Toxic
2) There are a few lights out by my back door till.
3) Probably with kids this winter.
4) I learned Hap Ki Do long ago but was busy with university so didn't stay more than a year.
5) Jonathan Banks or Richard Kind

1) What is your favourite fantasy novel?
2) What would be your wrestling gimmick?
3) How dark is your room at night?
4) If you were trapped in a fictional jail or prison, which would it be?
5) What movie do you think needs a sequel now?

1) What is your favourite fantasy novel?
I realize that this is the most boring conceivable answer, but I cannot overstate how much The Lord of the Rings (and Tolkien’s legendarium in general) has meant to me over the course of my life.

2) What would be your wrestling gimmick?
My signature move would comboing the Thunderous Fall Off the Top Rope into the Abject Sniveling Surrender.

3) How dark is your room at night?
Not as dark as I’d ideally like it to be. There’s a lot of ambient light from the city, and it comes through the blinds. I should put up some blackout curtains or something.

4) If you were trapped in a fictional jail or prison, which would it be?
Is this “what fictional prison would you like to be in?” or “what fictional prison do you deserve to be in?” I’d like to think that if I were in the brig of the USS Enterprise that they’d pretty quickly figure out that I was more or less harmless and let me go, so that’s my answer for the first take on the question.

5) What movie do you think needs a sequel now?
“Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World.” I’d love for them to adapt another one of Patrick O’Brian’s Aubrey/Maturin novels: Treason’s Harbour. It would be an early 19th-century naval spy drama set on Malta and starring Paul Bettany as a scientist, doctor, and master spy. How could that be anything less than great?

1) What is your favourite fantasy novel?

Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire

2) What would be your wrestling gimmick?

A dark masked figure known only as "Lord Black Draco."

3) How dark is your room at night?

Pretty dark. I usually need to use my phone to navigate.

4) If you were trapped in a fictional jail or prison, which would it be?

images

5) What movie do you think needs a sequel now?

Demolition Man.

1) What is your favourite fantasy novel?
I have a hard time picking favourites, but I'll go for Magician (extended edition) by Raymond E. Feist. It's not original in the slightest, but I read it at an impressionable age, I guess.
2) What would be your wrestling gimmick?
Secret brass knuckles
3) How dark is your room at night?
As dark as I can make it with blackout curtains
4) If you were trapped in a fictional jail or prison, which would it be?
Belle Reve
5) What movie do you think needs a sequel now?
Winter's Bone

2) What would be your wrestling gimmick?
3) How dark is your room at night?
4) If you were trapped in a fictional jail or prison, which would it be?
5) What movie do you think needs a sequel now?
1) Probably a Neil Gaiman one, sadly. Completely tainted well. After that, Matilda.
2) My character would think they are so awesome, they would enter each match with some kind of handicap, like wearing a straight jacket, just to make it fair for their opponent.
3) Pretty dark, but a little like comes from behind the curtain.
4) The Village from the Prisoner. Sure, they will break my mind, but it seems like a nice place.
5) The Adventures of Tintin

2) What was the name of your childhood teddy bear?
3) What cliche line in fiction makes you roll your eyes?

3) "Seriously?"
4) As a child, sure
5) Fantasy

1) Did you ever have a nanny?
No, unless you count a very rare babysitter.
2) What was the name of your childhood teddy bear?
Can't remember if the bear had a name. I do remember having a little stuffed crocodile called Lötkö (~"floppy")
3) What cliche line in fiction makes you roll your eyes?
It's all about context; even cliches work when they're used right.
4) Have you ever danced on a stage?
Hmm. I've danced in public certainly, and I've performed on a stage on many occasions, but I can't recall if I've danced on a stage. Maybe?
5) What is your favourite Mariah Carey song?
Tough choice. All I Want for Christmas is You is definitely an all-time banger, and I do love Fantasy a whole lot, but I think I'll still go with I Know What You Want.

1) Did you ever have a nanny?
Negative.

2) What was the name of your childhood teddy bear?
I wish I could remember. =(

3) What cliche line in fiction makes you roll your eyes?
"One shall stand, one shall fall..."

4) Have you ever danced on a stage?
No.

5) What is your favourite Mariah Carey song?
Probably "Fantasy". It's been so long since I've listened to much of her discography, if I ever have, but that one stands out to me.

One Sweet Day is one I remember watching the music videi for as well.

1) What is your vice? (if you feel comfortable answering this question)
2) Have you ever interacted with a monkey?
3) What should be a more common subject in country songs?
4) When did you first get a smart phone?
5) Who is your favourite James Bond?

1) What is your vice? (if you feel comfortable answering this question)

That's a good question, honestly. Not to say I don't have any, but... I'm just blanking at the moment.

2) Have you ever interacted with a monkey?

I can't recall an instance. It was like a zoo observation thing, at best, though, more than likely.

3) What should be a more common subject in country songs?

Country food.

4) When did you first get a smart phone?

Late aughts, I want to say? I forget when, exactly.

Oh, wait, I think I may be able to get a good idea...

Oh, it might actually be 2010?

5) Who is your favourite James Bond?

Pierce Brosnan. GoldenEye, baby!

1) What is your vice? (if you feel comfortable answering this question)
Sloth, definitely.

2) Have you ever interacted with a monkey?
How strictly are we defining “monkey” here? Because I feel like I definitely shared a moment with a ring-tailed lemur in a zoo one day.

3) What should be a more common subject in country songs?
Breaking contact with your husband and forming women-only collectives of mutual help and support.

4) When did you first get a smart phone?
Around 2010, I think? My wife had had one for a while at that point, but I was resistant. I was as addicted as anyone else once I finally got one, though.

5) Who is your favourite James Bond?
Just to make it clear at the outset, I can’t say I’m really a serious Bond fan. Still, I really liked Daniel Craig in Casino Royale, which is a pity, because he didn’t really get any more good movies after that initial one.

3) The Class Divide
4) I think it was probably in 2014 when I was living in South Korea
5) I guess Pierce Brosnan but dude got some of the rougher movies.

3) Which actors need to team up in a buddy action movie?
4) Which is your favourite Wizard of Oz character?
5) Where do you feel safest?

BTW, unrelated but would really love it if you (assuming you haven't yet), take part in my list of top 50 Time Travelers! I'm hoping to get a lot of lists.

1) Do you have any kids?
Thankfully, no. I’d be a terrible parent.

2) When's the last time you've been on rollerskates?
Some elementary school classmate’s birthday party at a roller rink. I wonder if kids still do those these days.

3) Which actors need to team up in a buddy action movie?
I have been saying for more than twenty years that Dom Monaghan and Billy Boyd (Merry and Pippin from the Lord of the Rings movies) need to make an action comedy buddy picture.

4) Which is your favourite Wizard of Oz character?
Probably the Tin Man, though the Scarecrow is right up there, too.

5) Where do you feel safest?
At home with my wife or just by myself. Outside of the home, probably in a library.

Johnny U, can we still submit a list if we can’t come up with a full fifty?

1) Do you have any kids?
No.

Unless my cats count.

2) When's the last time you've been on rollerskates?
I don't remember. I think when I was a kid, though I feel I might have taken leave of my senses and tried sometime more recently.

3) Which actors need to team up in a buddy action movie?
Robert Downey Jr. and Will Smith.

4) Which is your favourite Wizard of Oz character?
Always had a soft spot to the Tin Man.

At home.

I can't recall having done so.
3) What should be a more common subject in country songs?
Country songs
4) When did you first get a smart phone?
Kind of depends on what counts as smart... I've had a cellphone since around '00 or so, mostly Nokias while their phone game was still valid. Phone with usable internet access, maybe '07 or '08?
5) Who is your favourite James Bond?
Pierce Brosnan. Unfortunately his Bond movies are mostly mediocre or worse after Goldeneye; he's still a great fit for the character, though.

1) Do you have any kids?
Nah
2) When's the last time you've been on rollerskates?
Hmm... I bought a pair of rollerblades from a friend in ~02, but one chafed my foot badly and I gave up on them pretty quickly.
3) Which actors need to team up in a buddy action movie?
Callum Turner and Jessie Buckley
4) Which is your favourite Wizard of Oz character?
I'm not really familiar with Oz outside of cultural osmosis.
5) Where do you feel safest?
Home

2) I feel like maybe my 20s? So 20 years ago? It must be more recent but I can't imagine.
3) Jonathan Banks and Richard Kind
4) Scarecrow. Sweet, bright guy who thinks he's a dummy.
5) My TV room

1) Jeez, a while. I believe it was before Boston over 10 years ago (jeez 14?) but it is eluding me.
