Yeah, there's a lot of inconsistencies in how careful the game is and it amuses me. The clothing is very clearly labeled as NOT LEATHER FROM ANIMALS WE SWEAR, but the Turkey Day stuff is off (do you actually make turkey? I seem to remember the meal is just pescatarian. I still chuckle at the "if this is a new neighbor I'll need to apologize" line when you catch a frog when fishing.

Franklin has a line I saw, something like "Even though it's Turkey Day, you wouldn't believe how they celebrate it in some places..." (with a fearful shiver.)
You definitely don't make any turkey or meat; there are dishes with fish and shellfish though.
Franklin's M.O. in the GameCube and Wii installments was that Tortimer totally invited him to Turkey Day with the intent of killing and eating him (the villagers (mostly) just wanted to meet him) so he was in hiding and you would bring him silverware to trade for furniture and he would run off somewhere else because he was still afraid that you would try to eat him.
This changed in New Leaf. Tortimer is no longer mayor, so Franklin now freely comes to town of his own volition to cook a Turkey Day dinner (without walking bird) using locally grown and caught ingredients.

I built a castle for Elvis. Also, I have Knox on my island. I've always wanted to build a castle for Knox, but his set is basically the same as Elvis's; he wants to be a knight. So obviously, Knox would make a great natural roommate for Elvis.
EXCEPT, Knox and Sterling are also great natural roommates, and both live on my island! They're already best buddies as far as I'm concerned!
BUT! Sterling's theme is, for some reason, a sci-fi setting! That's nuts and it doesn't match Knox's castle/knight thing!
UNLESS!!! I room them together and try to make a sci-fi castle for them to be sci-fi knights!!! But I dunno if that'd work so great.
I might have to make a house for Sterling and then see what I'm working with before I decide who Knox goes to room with.

(checks site) yeah, I currently have 1385 and have had >100 expiring every month for a while, but I still accrue for signing in on stuff I guess? There's never anything to use them for so thanks for the heads up.

I only had 300 or so, but you can easily get 400 odd points by just clicking things on some of their websites.

This is the first time the game has allowed me to use Harriet in her hippie garb. I know updates are basically over, but if there's ever a 2.0.6 or a 2.1 I would welcome the option for service characters to change into alternate outfits (or selves).
We need more Harriet the Hippie. And Isabelle in her fancy New Year's suit or exercise leotard. And Gullivarrr.
