Was that actually Jamie Foxx as Electro or some kind of CGI imitation of him? Also I'm wondering if any of the baddies will be a not-yet-used-in-a-Spiderman-movie villain.
I believe it’s him. We see The Green Goblin, Doc Ock, Sandman, The Lizard, and Electro in the trailer. That’s one villain from each Raimi/Webb movie. My guess for the last spot is Mysterio, so there’s at least one that MCU Peter has a personal connection to.

If its specifically people who died because of Spider-Man showing up, then we’re going to have a whole bunch of Uncle Bens

All I ask for is that the villains share scenes and goals so we get a proper Sinister Six movie instead of just a series of boss battles through Spider_man: The Videogame.

Strange heard that Spider-Man 3 is pretty skippable, so he didn't independently verify Sandman's fate and just assumed he died like the others.

The villains have slightly different designs, so it follows that these might be similar but not 100% the same as the ones we saw in the movies. Maybe this Sandman is from a universe where things didn't go so well for him?

just a series of boss battles through Spider_man: The Videogame.

This is what happened in their first appearance.
At least the comics and movies gave an issue or two/film to each of their villains before doing the Sinister Six thing. The PS4 game just implies that four of 'em have already been around for a while and focuses on the two that haven't in its universe. And forming the Sinister Six is literally the first thing Otto does upon finally becoming Dr. Octopus.

Could definitely use more build-up than films that are in some cases decades apart, though.

All I know is that I'm hyped for the post-credits sequence that finally connects the MCU Spidey Family with the Spider-Verse by introducing Ben Reilly.

What if they don't go back on the "Peter Parker is Spider-Man" reveal and they make Peter join a witness protection program or such with a magical glamour under the nam Ben Reily? I want them to do that just to have the vocal sectors of the "everything must be as in the comics" fanboys die of an aneurysm.

Well, that would pave the way to save Otto (as the trailer seems to imply) and then rejuvenate him into a smarter, stronger... superior... Spider-Man.

Watched the first episode of Hawkeye and it is very good. Hailiee Steinfeld works and when she gets to be funny, it's completely the right kind. And most importantly, it's more her show than Renner's.

Co-signed on all accounts.

A rousing broadway musical about the Battle of New York is kinda weird, right?
I feel like it's supposed to be. It's not like there haven't been similarly ill-considered projects. The fact that Clint was convinced to go in the first place, by his loved ones, is weird.

When did characters in the MCU start referring to Barton as "Hawkeye"? He was just "Barton" in the Avengers movies, wasn't he?

Advance tickets for Spiders: The Man are now available most places. I live in a small town and normally don't bother with getting tickets ahead of time, but my usually roomy little theater was filled to capacity for Black Panther, Infinity War and Endgame so I'm going to be cautious about this one as well.

That one-shot at the beginning of Hawkguy ep. 3 was impressive.

Edit: beginning of the chase, I mean.

I only saw half of episode 3 today, but I really enjoyed it. In the first two episodes Hawk-Girl’s very clearly evil mom stuck out as kind of awkward, but otherwise I’m digging this show.

People are freaking out over speculation that the unseen 'Uncle' character is Wilson Fisk, aka Kingpin, due to the connection between the characters in the comics, and that his chuckle, apparently, sounded like Vincent D'onofrio.

Weird, I just figured that the "uncle" was Tony Dalton's character .
